About Eileen

Our family has had a cottage at Silver Lake for 20+ years, and have loved every minute! We understand the importance of building family memories. The children and grandchildren grow up so quickly, and the time goes by so fast...we see the importance of spending time together as a family.

Why This Property?

The Silver Lake area is filled with family activities to make memories - hiking, bike trails, dune rides, water sports, walking, running, go carts, bumper boats, miniature golf, zip line, horse back riding, antique shops, wine tasting, Little Sable Lighthouse tour, Lake Michigan beach and the most important...walking distance to the Ice Cream Shop!

My husband, 8 year old daughter and I stayed at Hope's place for a long weekend. The cottage was cozy and perfect for us. We were able to enjoy the dunes, Michigan Adventure and Lake Michigan during our stay. It was a great location and the Silver Lake out front was amazing. Cottage itself had great decor and everything we needed. Thanks for a great weekend :-)

Hopes Place was a great cottage! We had a wonderful time during our stay with our little ones (3 years and 1 year). Cottage had everything we needed. The location is great and the other renters during our stay were great neighbors! Highly recommended!

Summer has been beautiful here at Silver Lake. Hope you are enjoying your summer!

Experience relaxation at Hope's Place and Memory Lane on beautiful Silver Lake! The address is 9328 West Silver Lake Road, Mears, MI.

There are two cottages on this beautiful lake front property with 100' of frontage: Hope's Place (#99979440) is a quaint cottage filled with open rafter character and sleeps 6 people. Memory Lane (#90531886) sleeps up to 10 people, so join with another family and begin to build some wonderful memories. You can book just one, or both. Generally, rentals are from Friday to Friday, but feel free to check other dates, and we will do what we can to make it work for you.

There are so many activities you can do such as hiking over the dunes to Lake Michigan, biking on the Hart-Montague Bike Trail (22 miles), swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, golfing, playing with your dune vehicle in the sand, visiting beautiful Pentwater, take a tour of the Little Sable Lighthouse (only a couple of miles away), tubing down the river from Stony Lake out to Lake Michigan.

Mac Wood Dune Rides is within walking distance if you would like to take a ride in the dunes.

The activities are almost endless...but there is also the quiet of just sitting by the water with a good book and soak up the sun. Silver Lake is ideal for families with smaller children to play in because of the beautiful soft sand, and it stays shallow for a long distance.

There is a dock for you to moor your boat to, if you choose to bring one along. We also have a paddle boat and 6 kayaks and 2 paddle boards available for your use. These are shared with both cottages and our family, so times may have to be worked out.
