Why This Property?
This home was built in the 1930's by my grandfather. My dad was raised there, and I spent many summers there playing in the thousand plus acres of woodlands that back up to it. This home was built in the 1930's by my grandfather. My dad was raised there, and I spent many summers there playing in the thousand plus acres of woodlands that back up to it. The oak tree in the front yard was recently measured and confirmed by the NC Forestry Service to be the second oldest oak tree in NC, at 278 years old. It's close to Morganton, and Lenoir NC, local parks, art and culture, the Pisgah National Forest, Linville Gorge, and Lake James where parts of the movie "The Last Of The Mohicans" and "Red October" were filmed. It's also close to the Rutherford College Area where "The Hunger Games" was filmed. You can also see Lake James in the last sequence of the movie Red October with Sean Connery and Alek Baldwin! Youโll love my place because of the outdoors space, the neighborhood, the comfy bed, the kitchen, and the warm homey feel, and the lighting. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
