"Kealohapau'ole", Hawaiian for “Everlasting Love", will serve your vacation needs a whole new level in vacation rentals.
Sitting at a cool 2400' elevation, where nights can get down to the 50s and warming up to the comfortable low 80s during the days,
Kealohapau'ole is ideally situated 20 minutes away (17 miles) from Hilo town and 20 minutes away (16 miles) from the world renowned Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
Only about 5 minutes off the main highway, Kealohapau'ole is beautifully located on the front of a ¼ acre of land, in a small subdivision. Nestled within a ohia and waivi forest, Kealohapau'ole has a large inviting covered deck (over 300 sf!) overlooking a huge back yard.
Watch the adjacent forest for native Hawks during the day. In the evening, enjoy the uncountable amount of stars and cool clear nights.
Kealohapau'ole has everything you would need for a comfortable vacation in the mountain side. From a cup of fresh brewed Kona coffee on the covered deck, to reading a book about Hawaii while dressed warmly in the comfortable bathrobes provided, Kealohapau'ole has an experience waiting for you.
The fully equipped kitchen has a range/oven, fridge/freezer, all pots, pans, and serving dishes. Even a coffee maker and toaster is provided.
The living room is fully furnished with a flat screen TV (with satellite programming), and a comfortable sofa. Vaulted ceilings with a ceiling fan make this room very large and inviting. Wifi is broadcast throughout the residence.
The master bedroom hosts a king size bed, with double end tables and lamps. With a beautiful view thru the french doors, you can even access the rear covered deck directly from the bedroom. A space heater with fireplace effect was recently installed so you can enjoy the evenings when it cools down.
Kealohapau'ole features a well designed bathroom. A jacuzzi tub is available after those long walks in the National Park. A 2 person walk-in shower is very spacious. Even a make-up counter was installed to make preparations for your special night out even easier.
Kealohapau'ole is very committed to promoting the Island's many products and services. When available, we at Kealohapau'ole try to provide locally harvested products.
Every guest will enjoy fresh flower arrangements, purchased from local farmers and their families. Fresh fruit awaiting your arrival is hand picked by us the morning of your arrival, available from the many local farmers markets. Kealohapau'ole even provides sample Kona coffee blends. As our list continues to expand, we hope you find the local products very exciting.

4. Our house is located in a small subdivision. With consideration to subdivision neighbors, please stop all excess loud noise at 10pm. In addition, please drive very slowly through the subdivision roads and watch for children playing.
5. Kealohapau'ole is a drug and smoke free vacation rental.
6. Kealohapau'ole is served by a water catchment system. Catchment water shall not be used for drinking. A 5 gallon water cooler is provided with drinkable water.
7. Kealohapau'ole is also served by a Septic System. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products, diapers, napkins, rags, etc should be flushed at any time. If improper disposal has resulted in a failure of the system, you will be held responsible for the entire cost of either the repairs or complete reinstallation.
8. Storm Policy – No refunds will be given for storms and natural disasters that may disrupt your travel plans. Kealohapau'ole will only issue complete refunds if a storm or natural disaster renders Kealohapau'ole unsafe to occupy.
9. INDEMNIFICATION. Landlord/Owner/Napualanilehua LLC (parent company of Kealohapau'ole) shall not be liable for any damage or injury of or to the Renter/Guest, Renter/Guest's family, invitees, agents or employees or to any person entering the Premises or the building of which the Premises are a part or to goods or equipment, or in the structure or equipment of the structure of which the Premises are a part, and Renter/Guests hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold Landlord/Owner/Napualanilehua LLC harmless from any and all claims or assertions.

This particular property was purchased as just vacant forest land, and then developed by us. We purchased this because we have 4 family members living in houses along this road.
