The historical site of Bastille is the ground of the new Opera house, and traditionally the haven of the capital best artisans. By a sunny day, it is a pleasant 20mn walk along the Seine to reach Notre Dame. But not only classical culture one can find around. You will be 5mn from the cutting edge contemporary art center Maison Rouge, a close walk to Centre Georges Pompidou and many music joints and cafés. If you are looking for a real market, parisian style, drop by Marché d'Aligre, 6 days a week. The area is also great for restaurants of all kind, shopping, and simply hanging out... You will also be a few steps from train stations Gare de Lyon and Gare de Bercy, if the envy presents to visit Burgundy or the French Riviera.

Benjamin was a great host and I liked the studio apartment a lot. Benjamin met me at the appointed time and showed me the ins and outs of the place. His instructions were perfect and it was easy to get settled in. The location was incredible, great grocery stores, cafes, shops and restaurants VERY close by. 10 minutes walk and you are in the perfect oasis of the Marais district, and in fact I could leave the apartment and stroll through the Place des Vosges quickly, which was heaven. The studio isn't big, but is perfect for one or two people. It's an old building with a lot of character, and it's faces a bright courtyard. The Bastille Metro was very close by so you could get around Paris quickly. The Seine was relatively close by, a 10 minute walk and you are at the river. The amenities were good helping to make it more like a home.
最寄りのLedru-Rollinは結構バスが集まっており、バスティーユとリヨン駅も徒歩圏なのでどこに行くにも困りません。規模大きめのMonoprixや、銀行や郵便局も近くにあります。少し行けば大通りなので治安も大丈夫でしょう。BN、ANに近く、パリ市文書館やサン・ミッシェル界隈もバス1本で行けるので、研究目的の滞在にも便利です。 室内は洗濯機、浴槽、クローゼット、タオルウォーマーなどもあり、ネットもよく通じるし、調理道具は数週間の滞在となると少し足りず買ったりもしましたが、設備も概ね充分だと思います。部屋は広いし、とても静かです。ただ、その分、自分が立てる物音にも気を付けたほうが良さそうです。 家主のBenjaminは親切で感じが良く、シーツを途中で交換したいと言ったら持ってきてくれたりもしました。メールの返事も速く、安心してやりとりできました。
