We have stayed at this apartment twice and will be there again in January. It has a great location and not to far off of the main road that goes through the island. We enjoy the East end of the island so this location is great. The apartment has everything you need. We always stop at Eldon's supermarket in French Harbor on our way and stock up on a few things that we will need for the time we are there. The solar that is on the house is great because the power does go out from time to time. Internet here works pretty good for an island. I had to do some business on the internet while I was there in June and it worked fine. Between Liz and the caretaker they can answer any questions and are a great help. Highly recommend 4 wheel drive if you are going to travel the roads on the East end of the island. There are some great restaurants not far from Rainbows Breeze if you decide to go out and not cook at the apartment. Enjoy this beautiful island and Rainbows Breeze! CHEERS!!
We had the pleasure of staying at this property earlier this year, and couldn't be more satisfied. The accommodations were spotless, modern, comfortable, and convenient. Better than all of that though was being so close to the beach that we could feel the breeze every afternoon. The surroundings are incredible - it's like a page out of National Geographic. Easy to get to from the airport, and Liz was incredibly helpful with information for us about the island. We will definitely be going back!
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Rainbow's Breeze 1 bedroom Apartment for a little over a month. We felt at home immediately. There is nothing that we needed, that we did not have in this apartment. It has a fully stocked kitchen, with all the pots and pans, plates, storage containers, etc. We cooked and ate our meals when we weren't running around and eating elsewhere. That said, there are many more restaurants and places to go on the East End of Roatan. You just need to ask around, and you will uncover many hidden gems. I do recommend a 4WD vehicle. We managed a few days with a 4 door 2WD car, but it is so much nicer on many of the East End roads to know that you have 4WD. Places in the roads can be steep and gravelly, so 4WD is peace of mind. We walk around the hills nearby for exercise and jump in the dip pool at the end of a hot day. Sitting on the porch, enjoying the cool breeze is always welcome at the end of the day. We would not hesitate to stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
