About Fred and Geri Pompeo
Just a couple of folks from New England yearning to move to this wonderful City of Saint Augustine. Until that day we desire to share the downtown experience with others wishing to visit here.
Why This Property?
We bought in St A with the intention of retiring here someday. After debating whether to purchase at the beach or downtown we decided on downtown when we learned that you can drive and park on the sand at the beach - making it easy to go to the beach - so downtown was it. This home was picked because it was the perfect size, all rooms on one floor and so close to everything downtown that we could ... more +

Perfect home in historic Saint Augustine
Date of Stay: March 3rd , 2016

This is a wonderful location, an easy walk to restaurants, shops and the waterfront. Two very nice bedrooms and a third sleeping area. The kitchen was well appointed, we really enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the mornings. Very charming, we loved our stay!

Lovely stay in St Augustine
Date of Stay: February 10th , 2016

My husband and I traveled to St Augustine on Valentine's Day weekend for a friend's wedding. We throughly enjoyed our stay in the Pompeo's lovely home. The home had a welcoming feel and historic charm that you can't get staying in a hotel. It is in walking distance of historic downtown including the riverfront, restaurants, shops, and things to do. The beach and outlet malls are a short drive away. Fred was extremely helpful when we had questions. We also really enjoyed using Home Away's new App and were appreciative of the local tips and information that was provided by the homeowners. I highly recommend staying in this home when you come to St Augustine. Thank you Fred and Geri for the extra mile you go to ensure your guests have an awesome stay.

Excellent location with a fantastic screened in porch.
Date of Stay: December 25th , 2015

The first impression of the property was that of a smaller house. This is only am impression due to the overall layout. Once inside this impression is dispelled and the larger, more open nature is revealed. We were in St. Augustine the week after Christmas. The location of this house was just at the edge of all the action, like within 200 feet of where all the restaurants, attractions and activities begin. The city was beautifully lit up and full of energy for all to enjoy during the evening walks we were able to do every night. It was an easy walk to the Visitor's Center where the Holly Jolly Trolley began it's journey of carol singing and light show viewing. All we needed for our stay was at the house. Comfortable beds, plenty of TVs and the screened in porch was great to read on and watch the world go by, or enjoy a glass of wine and conversation before heading g out to walk to dinner. Made all the the better for our particular stay was the incredibly wonderful weather. El Niรฑo did it's part delivering sunny skies and low 80 degree weather the entire week, kind of unusual for this time of year. We would stay at his property again. It was just what we were looking for!
