This was the beachhouse of our dreams! Simply an amazing location so close to the beach that the waves almost hit the fantastic pool. Enjoy the beach, waves, hummingbirds and the sunsets that are simply unmatched. Additionally, the best beach bar (and beach) of St. Croix, Rhythms, is just a 3 minutes walk away. To make it all even more perfect, the owner Susan is extremely hospitable, flexible and helpful. If possible, we would rate our stay here six stars and we very, very much hope to come back!

After the tragedy of the recent hurricane, the Blue Turtle is still an island paradise! Our hearts go out to all the people of St. Croix who are working so hard to repair all the storm damage. Many escape to St. Croix to enjoy the weather, sand and beaches, views, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming and relaxation, and here we found it all. The Blue Turtle is nature at its best with rainbows, iguanas, diving pelicans, resident kitty and more. This is a perfect spot with private pool right off the covered deck and ocean a few steps beyond. Susan was very responsive to any questions, and she went out of her way to make sure we had a good time! She shares our love of ice-cream and led us to a place on the island that makes it like no other. This is the best ice-cream you will ever eat! We highly recommend the Blue Turtle, and thank you Susan and Scott for sharing your home.

This beautiful, well-provisioned home is set in the perfect location - on the leeward side of the island, just a few minutes north of Frederiksted. It sits right on a quiet beach with great snorkeling. We spotted turtles, stingrays, and dolphins not far from shore, as well as a myriad of fish and crustaceans. The ocean here is very calm and has little current, which made it great for playing with kayaks and SUPs, or just taking a morning swim out to the buoy. We even did a shore dive right from the beach. Rhythms is just up the road, which was fantastic for a quick bite and live music. And Cruzan Cowgirls runs their horseback rides from there (highly recommend). We really loved the Frederiksted area - it has such a friendly, down-to-earth vibe. The house itself is surrounded by a gorgeous tropical garden, so it feels very private. We noticed it was the only house on this side of the island with a swimming pool. We loved picking up fish from a local, grilling our own dinner, and watching the sunset from the pool. There are lots of deck chairs and an outdoor shower, and the inside is decorated so cute. AC in the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable, and during the day we would get a nice breeze through the house. The owner has thought of nearly everything and has provisioned the house beyond expectation. There are pool toys, sand toys, kayaks, SUPs, snorkeling gear, lifejackets, tons of bath and beach towels, games, movies, and even a couple baskets full of sunscreens and bug sprays. Bathrooms have all the basic shower stuff and the kitchen is very well stocked with equipment, as well as basics such as spices and coffee. And the owner graciously left for us a bottle of rum, some cute tumblers, and gift certificates to Polly's! This was quite delightful as we're used to arriving at rental homes to find not much more than paper towels and toilet paper. Susan, the owner, was a joy to work with and very responsive, and her local agent, Nancy, was so helpful and on top of things. I just can't recommend this property enough. We had a hard time saying goodbye and will definitely be back!
I want to give a dishonest review so I can keep this beautiful paradise a secret, but I can't do it...We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Blue Turtle and won't stay anywhere else when we are in St Croix! We love St Croix and have stayed a lot of places, all of which we enjoyed. But we fell in love with this vacation location on our first visit and haven't looked back! The house is located feet from the water, with a lovely pool, and a covered porch. Because of the location of the house you feel very secluded and private. It's the perfect place to stay if you want to vacation somewhere beautiful and homey, quiet and secluded, and family-friendly. We have yet to meet the owners but have dealt with the same people that handle and take care of the house and they are all very nice--especially Nancy, who became a friend from our first visit.

What a perfect home for an absolutely wonderful vacation! We spent 8 amazing days at the Blue Turtle and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. This was my first time renting through an internet service, and the process was excellent. Susan was extremely responsive to my *many* emailed questions ranging from activity and restaurant suggestions, as well as questions about the house itself and travel to STX. The house was perfect for the four of us (family of 4 - the kids are 18 and 15), and I absolutely loved being on the Frederickstead side of the island....as West Is Best, you know! The sunsets were wonderful, the morning double rainbows after the overnight rain, and Rhythms a short walk away - it was just lovely. The house is clean, well maintained and obviously loved, bedding and towels were great, kitchen is well stocked, and we loved having the convenience of the SUPs, kayaks and snorkel gear right there - it was a huge savings for us. A good grocery store is close enough, the "action" of Christianstead is a close drive, and we just loved the quiet serenity of being on this side of the island. Like I have seen elsewhere on this page, we would recommend a rental car and using the car rental agency's GPS - relying on your phone's maps can be tough on certain remote parts of the island. Special shout out to Susan's wonderful business partner on the island, Nancy - she was super fun and extremely helpful with suggestions and some questions about the house. I cannot wait to come back!
