Fridas Casita is a delightful little cottage that is incredibly spacious inside. It has a loft Queen bedroom accessible via a short ladder. Fridas Casita is a delightful little cottage that is incredibly spacious inside. It has a loft Queen bedroom accessible via a short ladder. However, if guests prefer to be all on one level, there is a Queen Murphy wall bed in the living room. The custom kitchen created by Carl, a Kitchen designer and decorated by Tracy a ceramic artist/tile maker is fully equipped and stocked with initial breakfast foods. The full bathroom with laundry also features Tracy's tiles. The deck is fully fenced to ensure dog safety. There is a little herb and mint garden for guests to enjoy and parking for up to 2 cars. The Casita can accommodate families of 4 or two couples travelling together. There is good cell phone coverage and fast wifi available. We have a TV, a CD/DVD library, book library and games for your entertainment. The Casita is located mid island within walking distance to a beautiful shell beach and Old growth rainforest. It is approximately 15 minutes to town by car, 45 minutes by bike and 1.5 to 2 hour walk. Cars, bikes and scooters can be rented on island. Salt Spring is the largest of the Gulf Islands in British Columbia - a 20 minute ferry from Victoria, 1.5 hour ferry or 20 minute flight from Vancouver and a 15 minute ferry from Duncan, BC.
