A family group of 6, three generations' worth, we stayed at Riverdance for a wonderful week in early September. The house is newly and completely refurbished, with a very well-supplied kitchen, new appliances and high quality throughout. It has two completely separate and equally attractive gathering areas, one with fireplace, so there is never a feeling of being cramped. Actually, there are more than that as there is a large and very comfortable screened porch adjacent to the deck that runs along the length of the house. A dining room, plus table on both the deck and the screened porch mean that you can dine wherever the mood or the weather suits. The house flows incredibly well. The continuous and ever-shifting views of the river gliding by had us all mesmerised and seriously regretting the end of the week. Binoculars had been thoughtfully provided so we could monitor the abundant birdlife and other fauna. Twice we saw a river otter swimming by! We all enjoyed the hot tub as the sun set turning the reeds golden and the sky pink and later, the starry sky full--even plenty of falling stars. Thank you, Todd! When we could tear ourselves away from the pleasures of the house, it was a 5 minute drive to quaint Douglas with its shopping and great restaurants--our favourite is Everyday People. We've rented houses in the Saugatuck area several times, but Riverdance provides a completely different experience that we definitely want to come back to again.
Riverdance will fool you it looks like a regular ranch but owners created A brand new house inside and the lot is pretty impressive! Sounds of nature on porch and the deck and high end hot tub made nights special! I've stayed on Lake Michigan shores for $5k a wk and actually prefer this house. Will bring our 22' bow rider next year to tie up at the house. No regrets owner is a gentleman and very helpful! Seven of us (four adults and three children) thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property during our week-long stay! Todd's home is clean, spacious, comfortable, and inviting! We prepared several meals throughout the week and every item we needed was on-hand. The hi-speed WiFi worked exceptionally well for the occasional work check-in too! We enjoyed lounging on the spacious back deck while barbequing and the kiddos enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The fire pit provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy s'mores around the campfire and we found fishing from the seawall yielded a nice variety of fish bringing smiles to the kids (and adults) faces! The close proximity to Douglas and Saugatuck proved convenient for shopping, hitting the beach, and enjoying the many wonderful restaurants the area has to offer. Among the many highlights of our week, the kids loved the Art Barn located only a few minutes walk from the property as well as excursions that included a pontoon rental, Saugatuck Dune Rides and beach visits to Oval, South Haven, and Douglas. Communication with Todd was a breeze - he is a terrific host and we highly recommend staying at this property without hesitation! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us, Todd!
