I offer a private, ocean-view studio apartment on the garden level of a single-family home in a beachy, rural subdivision comprised of interesting custom homes. We're very mellow ... so if you are too, we'll get along well. This is a family home and a very quiet area. Quiet time 9PM our neighborhood association curfew hour and it must be respected. No loud parties at any hour.

Why This Property?
Not many neighborhoods in Kona have such a beautiful, uncrowded beach within walking distance. Our position on the hill makes for jaw-dropping views! Stellar sunsets nightly! I bought my house in this unique area many years ago and have raised my sons here as a single mom. It's home.

Delightful and courteous host!

Kristina was a delightful and courteous host! She really paid attention to details to make us feel welcome in her South Kona Studio. She had great tips for travel around the island, places to go and things to see. The neighborhood is clean, friendly and quiet. Whales can often be heard at night in the winter and spinner dolphins frequent a nearby beach (Two Step: some of the best snorkeling we’ve ever had)! The Studio has a functional and spacious kitchen which is fully stocked, a clean bathroom, comfortable bed and personal lanai with a view of the ocean. We had a great time at South Kona Studio, and it was a pleasure to meet Kristina. We would definitely recommend staying with her. - Thank you, Kris!!"

Peaceful and gorgeous neighborhood.

Kristina's South Kona studio was just as described. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (and more!) to make our stay enjoyable. The neighborhood is peaceful and gorgeous. The house is just uphill from a small semi-private beach, and Kristina provides snorkel gear, beach mats and towels, etc for her guests to make the most of a trip down to the beach. She left us with a DVD with a slide show and video of marine life in the bay, and we fell asleep watching and anticipating the creatures we would encounter in the morning. Kristina also gave us good recommendations on places to eat and snorkel further up the coast. Kristina's communication was excellent from start to finish. She was delightful and enthusiastic about sharing her island home with us.

Perfect island experience!

If you look for the perfect island experience you find it here. The Studio is clean, spacious and very comfortable with a fully furnished kitchen. The fantastic beach and snorkel spot is just a two minute drive or 15 min walk away and the seaview from the patio is breathtaking. In addition Kristina and her family were nice and helpful. Kristina knows literally every corner of the island and thus she is the perfect host for people that want to discover the island.

Great location and wonderful beach access

The unit was nice and clean with a kitchen and grill on the patio. Kristina was friendly and had a wonderful guest book describing 'things to do' (including potential itineraries) that we used frequently. We also had access to snorkeling equipment and beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, mats and noodles!) which was so helpful and much appreciated! We really loved access to the beach at the end of your street and use of your snorkeling and beach gear! We were grateful for the 'guest book' with restaurant and activity recommendations.

Cozy studio with everything you need

Kristina was a fantastic host! This little studio is stocked with anything you might need, and then some. We felt very comfortable in the studio and loved the view! When we first arrived, Kristina showed us around the unit, and gave us all of the necessary information. She is very detail oriented and had all the information handy in a binder for us as well. The unit is the lower level of her home, in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We were a little further south than I was expecting, but it didn't really effect our activities too much. We would recommend this unit to anyone who is interested in visiting Kona/Captain Cook and even checking out the green beach at South Point (we did and it was fantastic!!) We loved the lanai and appreciate how detail oriented you are. Thanks again Kristina!
