We are a Minnesota couple, married 45 years and nearing retirement. We have one married daughter, and one grandson, who LOVES Florida!
Until we are able to winter in Florida ourselves, we are offering up our little piece of paradise for others to enjoy, and to escape the harsh northern winters. We first put this property into the rental market in January of 2016.

Why This Property?
After vacationing in the St. Pete Beach area and experiencing some cooler weather, we noticed things were a bit warmer to the south in the Fort Myers/Bonita Beach/Naples area. We read that Fort Myers Beach was a very safe beach with minimal currents, and that shelling was great on Sanibel Island, so we vacationed there. After vacationing in the St. Pete Beach area and experiencing some cooler weather, we noticed things were a bit warmer to the south in the Fort Myers/Bonita Beach/Naples area. We read that Fort Myers Beach was a very safe beach with minimal currents, and that shelling was great on Sanibel Island, so we vacationed there. We started searching for a vacation property in earnest in 2014 - a few years ahead of when we would both be retired and turned into Snowbirds ourselves, so we decided to purchase and offer our property up for rental. We looked at MANY properties, and came to realize that Location, Location, Location was everything when it came to rentability. The beaches were out of our price range, and frankly, too crowded for our taste - great to visit, but didn't want to be there 24/7! Many properties were 25-30 miles from the beaches- too far! We 're just 6 miles to the bridges that lead to Sanibel/Captiva and Fort Myers Beach. So many of the condos and townhomes we looked at were 'cookie cutter' - the same thing over and over - walk in the door, kitchen to the left, dining/living room straight ahead, bedrooms/bathrooms off to the other side, small, screened lanai at the other end of the living room straight ahead - a "shotgun" style, and often you would be facing right into someone else's lanai. We fell in love with our townhome at Peppertree Pointe in Meadowlark Cove. It was DIFFERENT! It was SPACIOUS! It had three bedrooms! It had space for full-sized washer and dryer! It had a private fenced in yard! We could watch two different tv's on the main floor, and not bother each other (*we don't always like to watch the same shows!). It had a HEATED pool! Not every complex does. It had a marina and fishing pier. It was close to the beaches, it was in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Many people are out walking and/or walking their dogs every day, or biking on our 15 mph streets. The walking paths are beautiful! We simply fell in love with it!

The bedrooms and full bathrooms are on the second level. All of the bedrooms have views of the beautiful palms outside the windows. You will never tire of waking up to that instead of the blustery, frigid north! The master bedroom is very spacious and boasts a king size bed (new in fall 2015) and ensuite 3/4 bath with new quartz counter in fall of 2016. Guest bedroom also has a king size bed, the third bedroom has twin over full bunk beds, and these two bedrooms share a full bath just down the hall (also new quartz countertop in 2016). All bathrooms and one quest bedroom were freshly painted in 2015. We have more painting ahead of us - all in due time!
The enclosed courtyard is gorgeous, and I think, our favorite part of this property. The palm trees are beautiful, and it is a peaceful and private place to spend time - no staring into someone else's lanai! There is a professional CharBroil grill, and patio table and chairs for your enjoyment.
We find this neighborhood to be safe very friendly. There are monthly Marina Parties. Restaurants and shopping are nearby. There are opportunities for fishing such as the fishing pier on the Caloosahatchee River (one of the perks of being home owners in Peppertree Pointe), or shore fishing from the Sanibel causeway, which do not require having a boat. There are also deep sea fishing charters within 5 miles of the property, and for the more adventurous, jet ski rentals and parasailing on Ft. Myers Beach along with abundant nightlife in Times Square. You can rent kayaks near Sanibel and experience manatees close up. Ding Darling Wildlife Preserve is also on Sanibel. It's just a short drive to Bonita Beach and Naples - the airport is just 13 miles (25 minutes) away.
