This completely air conditioned villa with it's private pool area is another gracious Villa Madeleine choice and it's comfortable outdoor area with amenities will enhance your stay. New chaise lounges, weber BBQ grill, pool floats, Ipod ready bluetooth outdoor speakers along with that fantastic view...who could ask for anything more!
The living area features a richly furnished decor with unique original canvas photography pieces (throughout the bedrooms as well) and comfortable seating for relaxing while enjoying the flat screen cable TV, dining indoors or gazing to the outside view from the double set of French doors. The sofa is a pull out sleep sofa for extra guests.
Off the great room is the guest powder room with a gorgeous new mahogany cabinet with large glass beaded mirror and unique light fixture on dimmer.
The master bedroom suite has a king size pillowtop Simmons Beautyrest bed and features air conditioning, TV, ceiling fan and french doors out to the pool deck view. New linen bedding is organically sustainable 100% bamboo designer Cariloha linens. Large bath with marble walk in shower, is accessed off the great room area.
The second master bedroom suite also features a King bed so that makes this villa nicely suitable for 2 couples traveling together! Ceiling fan, air conditioning, TV, private bath with marble walk in shower and french doors open out to the pool deck.
"Calypso Sol" is fully equipped including complete air conditioning, slide away retractable slider screens on all french door openings, washer/dryer, flat screen cable TV's/Ipod ready indoor & outdoor bluetooth speakers, wifi, BBQ gas grill, beach chairs/towels/cooler, and more! The villa has recently updated their kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and beautiful mosaic back splash.

We arrived in St. Croix, and after a short drive (about 30 min.) found ourselves at Villa Madeliene, and tucked away in this island development is Calypso Sol. Overlooking Teague Bay, the place is truly a piece of paradise. As we walked into the unit, we found a very spacious living room with comfortable couches and a wonderful recliner for those who need a power nap after a day at the beach. A compact but very functional kitchen equipped with all the conveniences needed for a meal, make living in a breeze. The main house offers a large bedroom with bath and an open tiled shower. Walking through a set of double doors, we are greeted with an unobstructed view of the ocean and off in the distance Buck Island, a national park. Our guest bedroom was off the main quarters, but offered a very comfortable king bed and open shower, making it very pleasurable and restful. Separating the main quarters from our secondary living quarters is a large partially covered patio, hosting a fabulous swimming pool. This area is perfect for relaxing, lounging around, and working on a suntan. Both the main and secondary quarters are equipped with air-conditioning, and while it may be necessary during the day, at night, we opened the shutters on the screened windows, and found the cooling effect of the trade winds very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything one might need for a relaxing stay at Calypso Sol. We met Elvin, the pool maintenance man, who gave me some insight regarding where the best fishing spots were and great advice on how to be successful. It was fun just visiting with him to get a feel for the island’s culture and recommendations of the more popular restaurants. The island offers some amazing food, and our favorite would be Duggan’s Reef (at the bottom of the hill from Calypso) and the whisky lobster. We can’t wait until our next visit!!!
Anne, Thank you so much for all your assistance in the planning of our recent visit to St Croix. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Calypso Sol, we loved the location and it had everything (and more) that we could want or need for our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this villa for anyone considering a trip to the island. It was so helpful having Charles meet us at the airport & leading the way to the villa. It would have been a real challenge trying to find our way after dark! The car rental was good, the jeep a late model in great condition. We first visited St Croix approximately 40 years ago, our last visit was about 20 years ago. After this visit I know it won't be so long between visits! Thank you, Arloa T. July 2016
What a great place to stay!! My wife and I stayed here for a week during our honeymoon, and we loved every second of it. It is completely private and extremely clean. The entire villa is air conditioned with the ability to turn the air off and open up all the windows. Don't like bugs that s fine they have screen that cover all the doors to allow as much air flow as possible. The kitchen is perfect you are able to make full meals and not feel like you have to eat out for every meal. The pool is beautiful with a great view. The bathrooms are nice as well, towels are provided for both the beach and showering. All around a great time and will definitely be returning to stay here and visit the island again. It felt like a home away from home, very warm feeling. If you have the opportunity to stay here, you have too!!
