NEWLY RENOVATED IN 2015! Casa Del Sol Family Beach House is a totally updated Spanish style home with all the amenities. Located directly on the Caribbean Sea, this private, gated home has a large in ground swimming pool that overlooks the sea. The outdoor cabana dining and bar area is perfect for hours of daytime entertainment and evening dining al fresco with the relaxing sound of lapping waves just 20 feet away! Our renovation includes all new furniture, beds, linens, and kitchen supplies. We offer a 50" flat screen, high-def cable TV with Apple TV, high speed wireless internet (which can be utilized all over the property-even while floating in the pool!), flat screen in master with Apple TV, and 3 high-quality split unit air conditioners.
The expansive covered veranda hosts a variety of seating areas and another dining option for 6. French windows open at the kitchen sink to allow a beautiful view of the pool and beach.
For those wanting to enjoy the beautiful sea breeze, 2 sets of french doors open to the covered veranda. This home is located in an authentic Puerto Rican neighborhood and is off the beaten path of tourism. Immerse yourself in this Latin Caribbean fishing village of Patillas where you can sometimes see the local fisherman right from your backyard. Casa Del Sol Family Beach House is for those who truly want to get away from it all. You might only see a handful of people on the beach and those are likely local people out for a family stroll or perhaps one of the local fisherman casting his net for bait. If you see the next door neighbor out and about, say Hola and he might just bring you a bag of ice for local hospitality. The ice cream man still drives by daily with his whimsical music blaring. Flag him down for a cool treat on a warm day, then go jump back in the pool and float end to end looking up at the dozens of soaring coconut palms surrounding you overhead. Speaking of coconuts, stop at the local market and order a freshly opened coco frio with a straw for you and the kids for a dollar each. (You might want to add a touch of rum for the adults). Also, pull over where you see the "pescao" sign and meet the fisherman there about noon to purchase your fresh lobster or snapper for the evening meal. Prepare it yourself or one of the local restaurants can prepare it for you. Fire up the charcoal grill poolside and grill steaks along with your caught that morning lobster and then linger over a long dinner seaside AND poolside with relaxing the sound of the Caribbean waves mere feet away. At night, you won't believe the thousands of stars in the dark, southern Caribbean sky (we see a falling star or two almost every time we are there). You will also surely relish the sweet sound of the tiny coqui frog as it sings it's magical "ko kee" signature call all evening. We have yet to be so lucky, but our guests that stayed at Casa Del Sol Family Beach House in January witnessed the magical journey of hundreds of sea turtles making their way to the sea. A truly memorable event!! Puerto Rico's Department of Natural Resources marks and monitors the numerous turtles nests that dot our beach throughout the nesting season.

We have been married for 28 years and have 4 children ages 19-27. Our oldest daughter is married and our middle sons are embarking on their careers after graduating from the University of Kansas. Our youngest son has just begun his college years at K.U. which leaves us with an empty nest! We are from the Kansas City area and endure extreme hot temperatures in the summer and frigid snow and winds i

Our youngest son has just begun his college years at K.U. which leaves us with an empty nest! We are from the Kansas City area and endure extreme hot temperatures in the summer and frigid snow and winds in the winter. We began our young careers in the Airline industry but Sean ended up in the Pharmaceutical industry in sales for the past 27 years. Carla has enjoyed the pleasure of being a stay at home mom. With the prospect of an empty house we decided to make our life long dream come true and buy a vacation home in Puerto Rico!
Why This Property?
Our love of travel began many years ago with our brief careers in the airline industry. During that time had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the Caribbean. Ultimately we fell in love with Puerto Rico and a few years ago we had the opportunity to tour the entire island. We instantly became mesmerized by the lush green southeast part of the island known as the Emerald of the South.

Ultimately we fell in love with Puerto Rico and a few years ago we had the opportunity to tour the entire island. We instantly became mesmerized by the lush green southeast part of the island known as the Emerald of the South. We fell in love with the small fishing village known as Patillas as it brought us back to the old time Caribbean feel that enchanted us many years ago. After our tour of Puerto Rico we returned home to Kansas and couldn't stop dreaming of the beautiful quaint town of Patillas and the possibility of owning a home there someday. Our original thought was to purchase a home for us exclusively but noticed the area boasted some beautiful beach rentals. We decided to purchase our home and share it with guests from all around the world so you can enjoy and experience this magical place as well! After purchasing our home we spent countless hours and many trips bringing this property back to its original beauty. This house has everything we could ask for on our wish list...beachfront, large in ground pool, and expansive outdoor living areas that are spacious and inviting. Our goals will always be to maintain and update our home for us and our rental guests to enjoy. Now that our nest is empty, we look forward to making many family memories and the prospect of sharing our beach front oasis with you. PS. Our house wouldn't be complete without a vintage Puerto Rico advertisement by our airline! Look for it!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home for 7 days over the summer. The house is beautiful inside and out. Extremely well taken care of. Every item in this house is in great condition. The beds were extremely comfortable, we all mentioned sleeping so well there. The outside is well maintained and very inviting, the chairs in the cabana are cushioned, no cheap plastic on this property. We loved the pool and cabana area with the grill, it was used plenty on our trip. The beach feels like your own private oasis, watching the moon off the ocean every night was incredible. The people in this area were so nice and welcoming. This beach front house is a A+++ for quality. The pictures of this property do it justice but it's even better in person.
