There are many restaurants nearby and you can walk up the hill to visit the Sacre Coeur (and walk off the cakes from the patisserie at the top of the steps) and see the famous place du Tertre.
Public transport abounds and there are buses that take you all over Paris - the metro takes you to Place de la Concorde or the Champs Elysees in 15 mns.

Great for a couple or someone travelling alone. The area and building are secure in the most up-market part of Montmartre. The last vineyards of Montmartre are a few metres away and Montmartre is a part of Paris that still feels authentic.
