5 stars are not enough. Owner Doug and caretaker/host Rose have created a piece-of-heaven in the larger heaven of the southern Mendocino coast. Over-development never arrived, and Driftwood reflects that life choice. You get all the goodies - life altering white water vistas, a magic hiking trail to the surf, entertainment center, and a spacious kitchen with all the hardware, plus a distant view of the historic Point Area lighthouse from the table. There is a sweet, low key thoughtfulness around every corner in the bungalow that will surprise, and make you smile. It all adds up to making you feel instantly at home. Halfway through our visit, my wife and I booked another for four months later. Don't tell Doug, but it's a bargain.
Such a beautiful spot! We can't wait to go back again someday already brainstorming of good time to go.. that view was just incredible and place had everything we needed and more! Thanks for the stay Doug! =)
We had a relaxing stay at The Driftwood bungalow. It is a classic piece of north coast California with a beautiful ocean view. The house is quite comfortable and has everything you and (if you brought one) your dog would need. The private trail to Irish Beach is a highlight. We found this place to be quite reasonably priced given the million dollar view.
We celebrated my 60th birthday at Driftwood Bungalow this past September. What a beautiful place to relax and unwind. We were able to walk out to the bluff and down to Irish Beach. Very private and tranquil. The bungalow has everything you could possibly need to have a perfect escape week or weekend. Doug, the owner, was very helpful and responded timely to all our requests. We will definitely be back, hopefully many times. Thank you Doug.
South a gorgeous little place. Plenty of room, stocked with everything you could possibly need, peaceful and cozy with beautiful views.
