Was very lucky to find this studio in the 4-unit Ptown Place compound right after it was newly renovated in 2015. My 2 small dogs and I were the first to stay in it for 4th of July week and Carnival week and we have returned every year since because it's an excellent value in the most fun and amazing town to spend summer vacations anywhere in the US! Location doesn't get much better than this. You're half a block from Monkey Bar and Pop + Dutch, 2 short blocks from Flyer's Boat Rentals, the bay beach, Ptown Bikes, and The Boat Slip for happy hour, a few blocks from Victor's for the best (early) happy hour in Ptown or Spiritus for after hours pizza, 5 minute walk to center of town, and a short walk or bike ride to Herring Cove Beach. And on top of the convenience, it's a quiet location - - never had rowdy neighbors waking us up at night and the people staying in the other 3 units are either polite and keep to themselves or are fun and very friendly. The studio is the smallest of the 4 units but is pet friendly with very few stairs and surprisingly spacious. Ground level and entry has a handy keyless lock. Enter through a cozy living room with traditional New England style furnishing - small couch, 2 arm chairs, end tables, plus a wall mounted flatscreen TV, lamps and recessed dimming lights. Fully stocked kitchen with full size refrigerator/freezer and new appliances (no dishwasher, but don't really need one), granite countertops, and virtually everything you could possibly need (plates, bowls, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, etc) if you want to cook and eat in. Small dining table for two or there are tables and chairs and a grill outside on the shared patio. Awesome full size washer and dryer, very convenient and a huge plus. Freshly updated full bath with tub/shower combo, lots of nice new fluffy towels in all sizes, and a privacy window that opens to let out shower steam. No closet but lots of dresser drawer space for clothes and a clothes rack with hangers. Working blinds in all windows to keep early morning light out if you like sleeping in. Comfortable queen size bed with extra pillows and blankets (would love it if they upgraded to a Westin Heavenly Bed and linens or similar, but for a beach getaway, it's comfortable). Wifi is fast and reliable plus there's 1 off-street parking spot onsite. Thick fluffy beach towels are also supplied and there's a bike rack too. Owners/managers: Gary and Jeff are dependable and very responsive if you need anything during your stay (if you've ever had bad experiences with owners/property managers at other rentals in Ptown or elsewhere, you know how important it is to have owners that care and responsive managers on site). Bonus points for supplying boxes full of beads for Carnival. :) Staying 4th of July week and Carnival week for 5th year in a row and hopefully many more years to come. Great value overall.
First, your house Gary and Jeff are extremely accommodating and great guys We have stayed in the one bedroom and this year the studio which works out very well because it is close to anything you will want to do An added bonus is the units have their own washer and dryer so you don't need to pack a ton of clothes The units are all redone and are very clean and updated A no brainer!
