The peaceful mountain setting, the incredible views, watching the light change on the mountains, and this jewel of a house so tastefully set for guests made our stay absolutely perfect. The property is immaculate, and the owners a total delight to work with. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family! This was our most beneficial vacation ever!
Peaceful and refreshing are the first two words that come to mind when I think of Monica and Ed's place. I really needed some time away from my demanding job, and in the mountains at this gorgeous cozy cottage was just what the doctor ordered. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and meticulously cared for. If you are like me these are a must in accomadations. I have told all of my family and friends about Monica and Ed's place. The drive up and back down the mountains were a part of the experience. The view from the large windows in the cottage are enough to make you thank God for such a beautiful creation. I will definately be back during a fall vacation. This was an August vacation, so a relief from the heat in Florida was a welcome change. Monic and Ed have done everything in their cottage to make you have a vacation that you will always cherish.
Dear Ed and Monica..... Simply put you thought of everything to make our stay special. We just loved your home and the view was everything you said it would be. We appreciated all of your suggestions of things "not to miss" and they were all spectacular. We would recommend your place to any of our friends planning to visit the area and look forward to our next visit. Thanks so much! -Tom and Vickie
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Bella Vista in Hayesville, NC, over Thanksgiving week in 2010. They have a really wonderful place with an outstanding view! The cabin is extremely well stocked and has everything anybody would need. Just bring your clothes. Food is no problem....there are good (great) restaurants in the area and the local grocery chain--Ingle's---is well stocked in the likes of Publix or Harris Teeter (if you don't live in the southeast you're probably clueless now...sorry!). We have stayed at many other cabins in the mountains of Western NC but Bella Vista was the best. As North Carolinians, one of us from Asheville, we highly recommend Bella Vista to anyone. As an aside, the weather was warm enough that we were able to rent a boat and spend a day on the lake. That's not something we would normally do in WNC in late November. That TODO is something I would recommend to anyone.....no experience is necessary-----but plenty of fun.
Bella Vista exceeded our expectations. We have been coming to this area for several years, and have stayed at several different rental properties near Franklin and Highlands, NC. Our family has agreed that this cottage was our favorite. The home is located in a beautiful development close to both Hayesville, NC and Hiawasee, GA. Monica and Ed have done a superb job making sure their guest's needs are taken care of. All of the details were well thought out. The home is immaculate, well appointed, and feels new. You won't need to bring much, because the owners have thought of everything! We came to the area for the views, the quiet, and cooler weather. We found all this at Bella Vista, and enjoyed time spent sitting in front of the fireplace in the family room. My daughters loved the board games, and entertained themselves for hours. Cooking in the kitchen was a pleasure. My favorite experience at Bella Vista was waking up in the master loft and looking out the huge windows at the layers of mountains. We sure hope we're fortunate to come back again in the summer-hopefully for a month!
