Conveniently located in the heart of Poipu Beach, this home is less than a mile from the best beaches and restaurants. The exceptionally private one-third acre property fronts the world class Kiahuna Golf Course and captures wide open blue ocean views and the lush greenery that defines Kauai from every room of the house. This home was completely remodeled in 2019 and features 3 large bedroom suites with connected baths (two king and one queen), large outdoor covered lanai dining area, and an upper level ocean view screened lanai. Furnishings include 65" and 75" TV with 4K surround sound theater system, top quality Kitchen Aid and Wolf appliances, tropical teak and mahogany furniture throughout and high quality mattresses and bedding. The new 50ft. private lagoon pool is large enough to swim laps or just relax on the pool bench and enjoy the tropical gardens, expansive greenbelt and ocean views. The pool is electric-heated and therefore permits comfortable pool use throughout the year. Yes, pools are very chilly here in Hawaii from November through April. There is no add-on charge for this feature. (See "pool heating" details in rental agreement).
The Hawaiian open style outdoor/indoor living style is an amazing feature of this house. Large sliding screened doors with jalousie windows and ceiling fans allow for an almost constant trade-wind flow of cooling breezes throughout the house. If things do get warm, however, the home is completely air conditioned with custom control in each of the three bedroom suites. And speaking of a truly Hawaiian experience, you will love showering in the private outdoor lava rock garden shower!
The home is just under a mile from the ocean and beach boardwalks of the Marriott and Sheraton. Poipu Beach Park is a little over a mile. Beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas are provided. Less than a mile from the house is the Poipu Shopping Village with island-theme boutiques and galleries, Starbuck's Coffee; Keoki's Paradise, a fun island/tiki torch open air garden restaurant; Pietro's Pizza; art galleries; a general store with many basic groceries and island items, Kauai-made gelato shop; Bangkok Happy Bowl Thai food, surfing stores and much more. The upscale "Shops at Kukui'ula" are 1.5 miles away with a Roy's restaurant, Bubba's burgers, Lapperts ice cream and coffee, Tommy Bahama store and many boutiques, restaurants, live music and an excellent gourmet "farmers" market event each week.
This Is A Non-smoking Property in a private neighborhood with homeowner association rules to guarantee you a peaceful and exclusive vacation. This also means absolutely no hosting of events, large parties or excessive noise. Please be aware that while the yard is fenced and gated, there is no barrier immediately surrounding the swimming pool. The pool is visible from most living areas, however could still pose a danger to very young children.
To help maximize your vacation rental experience, our on-island concierge, Lea, will meet you at the house shortly after your arrival and provide an orientation of the home and surrounding area. She will also be available for any questions or issues throughout your stay.
COVID CANCELLATION POLICY WAIVER: In the event of any declarations by the State of HI or County of Kauai which restrict travel to Kauai or require quarantine, the stated Cancellation Policy will be waived and all monies will be refunded in the event the guest is unable to travel to Kauai. )
ENHANCED COVID-RELATED CLEANING PROCEDURES: Please be assured that our enhanced cleaning procedures and cleaning crew members follow and exceed Covid-related Center for Disease Control (CDC) and American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) guidelines for employee behaviors, cleaning and disinfection. We use Kauai Green Cleaning Services exclusively, an experienced and professional long term Kauai company.
In-cleans and out-cleans can often take a day or two due to extensively enhanced cleaning and washing of all cookware, utensils, dining ware, rugs, all bedding (including mattress pads and bedspreads) and much more. Therefore, we ask you to be mindful of our check in time and check out times. We will make every attempt to accommodate early or late check-ins, however be sure to read the related section in our rental agreement.
