I was born and raised in Natchez, Ms. and have lived here all my life. I am the retired mother of two married children and grandmother of four. My husband and I have owned and operated a local restaurant for 25 years which is now run by our son. We both love to cook. He also likes to hunt, fish, and make furniture. I like to walk and read in my spare time. And, we both love dogs..

Why This Property?
We bought this property in 1995 because we wanted to stay downtown but we also wanted the feeling of living in the country. It is the best of both worlds. We have our dogs, we have our privacy, and we have deer in the backyard to watch. If we want company, we can walk to Main Street which is 3 blocks from the house. All of the downtown restaurants are close, including our restaurant, Fat Mama'

We bought this property in 1995 because we wanted to stay downtown but we also wanted the feeling of living in the country. It is the best of both worlds. We have our dogs, we have our privacy, and we have deer in the backyard to watch. If we want company, we can walk to Main Street which is 3 blocks from the house. All of the downtown restaurants are close, including our restaurant, Fat Mama's Tamales, so that makes it very convenient for us. It is truly the best of both worlds for us and our renters seem to really enjoy the environment when they stay with us also. Some come to just get away and relax while others want to check out everything in town.

I would describe our cottage as a "HAPPY HOUSE". It will definitely be one of the cleanest places you have ever stayed. It is neat and orderly and has a very open arrangement. We have lived here all of our life so we make a real effort to help the renters with any questions or concerns about what is available in Natchez. We enjoy what we do and have met lots of nice renters in the last three years. We are always open to suggestions and try to accommodate any special needs you might have Hope we get to meet you!

I just enjoyed my third stay at The Coop. Rentals don't get get better than this one! The property is meticulously clean, well furnished, well stocked and comfortable. The location is amazing, walking distance to many of the beautiful homes, downtown and the Mississippi River, but completely private in a beautiful country-like setting. Miss Britton and Jimmy are the best landlords on the planet, always available for suggestions, directions or house needs, but completely unobtrusive. We were welcomed with a beautiful plate of homemade goodies on the kitchen counter, lemonade and eggs in the fridge and a freezer full of cookies and cake. (There was NOT a full freezer when we left!) I have rented various properties in the US and abroad, without a doubt, The Coop is at the top of the list. Can't wait for the next trip to Natchez.
