Deposit Requirements

Reservations require 50% of the rental fee with a signed rental agreement and must be received within 5 days of making a reservation. Balance is due 4 weeks prior to arrival date. If making a reservation 4 weeks prior to arrival date, full payment is due immediately.

If reservation is cancelled 60 days prior to arrival, a refund will be given a less 20% cancellation fee. If a reservation is cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival and we can re-rent the vacation unit, you will be given a refund less 20%. If reservation is cancelled less than 60 days and we do not re-rent, we reserve the right to deny your refund.

My husband and I lived in the Florida Keys, but had been coming up to the mountains each summer to hike. Each time we came up, it seemed like we stayed longer and longer! We began looking for property, thinking that we would like to have a summer home. Why This Property?

We love a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the deck as we look out over the valley. A wide variety of birds come to the feeder. It has a feeling of seclusion rather than isolation as the nearby Blowing Rock area has so much to offer! From onsite hiking on over 30 acres to wonderful restaurants and shopping, you'll find something for everyone.

First of all this is the most quiet and cozy cabin ever! I had replies to each and every question immediately. We have never had so much relaxation and all was there for us! Best vacation ever! Can't ask for more!

We stayed 5 days at this amazing home. We are a family of 4 which includes a 4 and 2 year old. It was everything we wanted in our trip away. We spent a few days leaving the house and going to tweetsie railroad, grandfather mountain and downtown blowing rock. Although we enjoyed our day trips the best days were those spent around the house. Our children loved taking walks and exploring the property. The most exciting for the kids was the salamanders by the creek. We will definitely return! I would recommend this home to anyone looking to get away to spend quality, special time with your family. Thanks Beth and Bob for opening your home!

Marvelous Mountainside Retreat!

The cabin is the most perfectly secluded and private rental we have ever had the opportunity to stay at during a vacation and we've stayed at quite a few! From the moment we drove up, saw the flower pots with beautiful purple flowers at the door greeting us then opened the door to see the colorful table settings on the dining room table...we knew this cabin was more than described and had owners who most definitely treasure what they've built! The attention to detail throughout the cabin with the north woods décor was such a pleasure and made the expansive views of the wooded area such a delight. Sitting on the deck and rocking in the Adirondack style chairs for breakfast each morning was a treat, hearing all the birds chirping away was a plus. Evenings on the deck watching the sun set was awesome. The finch birdfeeder kept the gold finches coming around all day long. It was hard to believe that the cabin is just minutes away from superb dining and wonderful shopping. Thank you Beth & Bob for sharing your marvelous mountainside retreat, we enjoyed every minute of our stay and wished it could have been longer! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers Response
