About Victoria
We loved the area for its nature, mountains and myriad things to do. And of course, because, unlike in Florida, you can actually enjoy seasons here! We are avid DIY-ers, but running construction/remodeling project from 700 miles away put us to the test!
Why This Property?
We looked far and wide, but could not find a place that had just the right feel to it. We prefer seclusion and privacy, while many cabins are located in the 'resorts' where privacy is in short supply, or 'PUDs' where all cabins look alike and cookie cutter. When we found 'Appalachian Escape', there was no mistaking we had found what we were searching for! We originally fell in love with cabin's se ... more +
Unique Benefits
Appalachian Escape offers privacy in park-like setting and "cabin in the woods" feel, yet easy access by paved roads to all the area attractions and amenities. It also provides plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accommodate large groups while still creating cozy and intimate atmosphere. The cabin is next to the Arts & Crafts District, which is a quaint area with lots of small family-run artisan ... more +

Our stay here was excellent! It had everything you would want, and more! Just a few minutes from anything and everything you would want to go see and everything was neat and clean. I definitely would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful stay in Gatlinburg area!
Date of Stay: February 5th , 2016

This was our first visit to the Gatlinburg area. We had a great trip and will definitely be back! The cabin was everything we expected and more. It was very cozy. The owners were accommodating in making sure we had those little amenities that you may need right away such as soap, detergents, etc. until we could get to store. Many owners do not take that personal interest in their rentals. They also made sure to contact us to see if everything was OK and provided us with details of attractions in the area. We actually had snow while we were there and stayed very warm in the cabin. Would definitely recommend and return for another visit!

Great Cabin!
Date of Stay: February 1st , 2016

I went with a group of 8 friends for 2 of our birthdays and it was amazing! This cabin is very well made, no creeks or noises, at least none that were noticeable especially compared to other cabins. The bathrooms have heated floors which was great in the mornings when it is cold outside and when you come out of the shower. The kitchen was very spacious and very useful which also includes a big island. Fully equipped with soap for the dishwasher and laundry machines. The owners were amazing and kept in contact. The location was perfect in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and everyone! It's great for kids and adults!

The stay was as much fun as we expected
Date of Stay: December 29th , 2015

The cabin was very well done.. just rustic enough but modern.. my wife loved the heated floors in the bathroom. the boys like walking around the woods. the Hot tub was used nightly. never got too cold in the cabin and if it did we just turned on the fireplace which heated everything up quickly. The upstairs bedroom with two beds was too nice.. the boys loved the room and never wanted to come down stairs. We didn't know how close to Gaitlinburg it was.. our GPS said 6 miles. you get all the quiet you want but the night we wanted a little more activity we went into town and ate at our favorite Mexican Restaurant No way joses. The hour wait was worth it.. of course it was right after the new year and we expected that.. went to all the little shops.. did some putt putt with the boys.. love that place. Had too much fun to mention.. however my wife wanted me to mention she has the high score on Centepede. ;-) the old school games were great.. Thanks for the great stay might try it again next time we come up from Florida. we have been up 3 times to Gaitlinburg and rented a cabin each time.. this was by far the best cabin we have stayed in.. book early.

More beautiful in person
Date of Stay: October 22nd , 2015

This was a first family vacation as well as a first time renting a cabin. First, the cabin is well worth the price tag. The directions given were perfect and made the cabin easy to find. Like someone else said it is off the beaten path and you don't get the the view of the mountains but once you're at the cabin none of that matters. A family member made a comment before we left saying "I hope it looks a little like the pictures". It did. The home is beautiful. We had our family, five adults and one child. There was something for everyone. The hot tub was on and ready to be used. There's an arcade game for the kids (and adults reminiscing their youth). The kitchen is huge. There was enough room for us to hang out and cook together as a family. Beds are comfy. The fire pit has little benches surrounding it and plenty of room if more chairs are needed. The child's cabin was also a hit with our little one. Those of us that had Verizon cell phone service didn't have any problems with reception but the best room was the downstairs bedroom. I was very impressed with how Victoria checked on us to make sure everything was up to par. We had one issue with the Jacuzzi tub stopper and she had someone come out that day to take care of it. There was one downside, our family didn't get to spend enough time at the cabin but that's because we had too much planned in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We plan on returning again and spending more time at the cabin. I hope the next family enjoys the cabin as much as mine did.
