Enjoy the full benefit of being steps away from Main Street (2-3 minute walk) and all the shops, restaurants and pubs. From the property to the backdoor of the Chatham Bars Inn is 2-3 minutes walk (great for dinner, lunch or breakfast). The public 9 hole course (owned by town of chatham) is great fun, inexpensive and they rent clubs. This is a 2-3 minute walk to the golf shop check-in desk from the property. This is good fun for all but we have found it is a great thing for the kids to go an do on own (it is a full size 9 hole course but on the shorter side and not difficult to play and they also rent junior clubs). The scenic beaches (walk to oyster beach (great kids beach) or Claflin Landing - both 5-10 minute walk). Claflin Landing beach is not private and sits directly next to the beach of Chatham Bars Inn. You can also walk to lighthouse beach via main street and browse the shops on way which is about 20 min/1 mile this way you don't need to park your car at beach. While we suggest a car overall so you can see surrounding sights and visit the bigger beaches and waves within and around Chatham, once you arrive at property you will use the car very little since we are in the heart of it all. We have found adults like this especially given you can enjoy the nightlife (pubs, music) and not have to get into car to drive back to property.
