We purchased the house in 2008 to give our family a place to spend our summers when we fell in love with Rhode Island. We decided to buy this home after being invited to the area by some friends of ours who owned a home in Scarborough and we fell in love with the area. Peaceful, un-crowded, lots to do, and close to everything - from the Block Island Ferry to dozens of restaurants, sightseeing, and ocean fun! We rented other houses several times before buying here in 2008, and we often hear that many of our guests started coming here as children and now bring their families back to Scarborough Beach year after year.
