Decorated in a rustic mountain cabin theme with both new and antique furniture, fixtures and household items, the cabin features circle-sawn Douglas Fir flooring with knife-drawn edges, reclaimed barnwood wainscoting, knotty pine walls/and ceiling, wood burning stove, large windows throughout to enjoy the mountain and forest views, covered front and side porches, etc. And don't let the size fool you - this is a VERY comfortable open-spaced cabin with some of the best mountain views in the area!
For large family or friend gatherings, we have other rental properties immediately adjacent to the Mini-Moose Cabin - e.g., the newly constructed Lazy Moose and Mountain View Lodges! If interested in renting one or more of these properties during the same calendar period, be sure to ask about our 'Village' rates!
Also if interested, please ask about our amenity packages, including horseback riding, trout fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.
Lastly, if you notice a gap in the calendar between existing bookings which is less than our minimum number of night stay requirement and are interested in renting within that 'gap', please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.

We LOVED everything about the Mini Moose. Attending a family wedding on the shores of Hebgen Lake, the location was ideal! This is an immaculately kept property nestled in the woods. The porch is a very special spot. Kevin was ideal to work with. How nice to arrive, let ourselves in, spend beautiful times, tidy up and lock the door. Felt entirely at home.
We had the most relaxing and enjoyable time at the Mini Moose; stayed at Lazy Moose last year with another couple and traveled as a couple this year, so down-sized. This cabin was the perfect size and had every amenity we needed; beautifully decorated and had all of the comforts of home. Listened to the wolves howl every morning and night, which was a treat! Perfect driving distance from Yellowstone and the town. Plan to go back again soon.
We stayed for 7 nights and found this cabin to be absolutely perfect for the two of us. It was much more roomy than we expected and we loved everything about it. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped and the washer and dryer was a plus. Before we went on our trip, we asked Kevin if he could make sure the outdoor grill would be ready for use and we were amazed when we arrived, there was a brand new BBQ waiting for us! That's great customer service. Thank you again Kevin... Also, worth mentioning, the double bed in the bedroom has been replaced by a queen size bed, good upgrade. We loved hanging out on the porch every morning and every night. It's very peaceful. The cabin is only 10 minutes away from West Yellowstone where there are 2 grocery stores with everything you need. The west entrance to the park is also right there, right outside town so the location of this cabin is very convenient. We loved it there at Mini Moose...We would stay there again, for sure!!!
The cabin is a fun romantic getaway. The Mini-Mouse cabin is very affordable and has all the basic amenities. You will find the cabin is clean, comfortable, and very cozy. There is a wood stove (pick up some seasoned wood), comfortable seating, cable TV, and a washer/dryer. The kitchen area contains a table, refrigerator and all the basics you need. The location is away from it all and not too far from Yellowstone. The drive to Yellowstone is very enjoyable. The Mini-Moose is great, 2 of us stayed here for a night. We stayed at the owner's other house, MT View Lodge except our last night as it was booked. (The MT View Lodge is an incredible home right next door, highly recommend a stay there too) The owner is wonderful to work with and very helpful. Very responsive to our calls. He provided details on some of the adventures we wanted to experience outside the park. Have fun ... go cuddle in the Mini-Moose Cabin. The trip was a top 10 for us!
The Mini Moose exceeded our expectations. It is a quaint, authentic cabin tucked into the mountainside with a breathtaking view of nearby mountains. From the rough sawn interior paneling and floors to the functional wood burning stove, it provided a warm, comfortable haven for rest and relaxation after our days exploring Yellowstone. The house was fully stocked with all the comforts one could want including a fully equipped kitchen. The fixtures, artwork and furnishings make the Mini Moose cozy and comfortable. We would highly recommend this cabin.
