* 18' x 36' in-ground swimming pool with a pavillion at each end for shade offering comfortable cushioned seating, and we have inflatables for use in the pool too!
... Security fence installed March this year - new photos coming very soon!

... unlike staying at a hotel, you don't have to share the pool with loads of other people. The only other people ever at the pool are me, my son and husband.

It's not too good to be true! Newfound Cottage really does reside on a 136 acre private mountain family farm. Three sides of the cottage are surrounded by a forest of trees and wilderness! Only 8.7 miles from the Asheville City Limits [via in-town roads] and 5.7 miles from I-40, Newfound Cottage is minutes from major attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Biltmore Estate. The cottage is the furthest structure on the mountain and my residence resides 2 acres below. We're close enough to be helpful, but you have your privacy. The road to the cottage is 1/2 a mile long, so it can't be seen from the main road. Kitchen, dining, foyer and living are part of the open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and beautiful hard wood floors. Pictures cannot convey how in reality this cottage lives or feels. The hot tub, on-site hiking, swimming pool, outdoor fireplace, covered front 'n back decks, loads of incredibly interesting wilderness to explore and located out-of-light ... this place just can't be beat! There are a lot of wonderful places to have a vacation rental, but Newfound Cottage is situated to be called "among the best"!! To experience nature in the quiet and calm of a mountainside setting is a luxury some never get to experience. I've been told I could charge more for such a place simply because of the peace 'n quiet, beauty, so much privatly owned property, along with my efforts extended into the decor and provisions, but the current rates reflect the 1400 sq. ft. size of the cottage, while still offering 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, hot tub, Wifi, hiking and an outdoor fireplace ... and did I mention swimming pool! Yes, this is the "cottage in the mountains you've been looking for! Destination ... southern hospitality!!

My husband and I have been married since 1990 and have had both full-time and vacation rentals since 1993. We built our cottage ourselves spending 3 yrs. of our time and our own money. I really appreciated having rental property so I could work from home as well as be a full-time Mom. My husband works a full-time job outside the home, but maintains the hot tub, replenishes the wood for the outdoor

I really appreciated having rental property so I could work from home as well as be a full-time Mom. My husband works a full-time job outside the home, but maintains the hot tub, replenishes the wood for the outdoor fireplace, scrapes the gravel road when needed, and whatever else comes up I can't get done. My son is now old enough to help with some things involving the cottage too so we can try and a work ethic. And since it's only two acres from our own home, we can keep it up to our high standards!
