Northern Michigan, or "up north" as we call it is only about 3.5 hours away. My husband and I originally purchased this property, which is across the pond from our home on a 10 acre parcel of woods, gardens and meadow lands. Originally planned for use by our family and friends when they came to visit, we realized that we wanted to share this little nature paradise with others...and Heron Pointe was born!

Heron Pointe is a special blend of natural privacy, comfort and luxury. With no neighbors to worry about, you can relax completely, stroll the grounds, listen to the birds sing while you enjoy your coffee on the deck as the sun rises over the trees or fish off the little bridge overlooking the pond. With no neighbors to worry about, you can relax completely, stroll the grounds, listen to the birds sing while you enjoy your coffee on the deck as the sun rises over the trees or fish off the little bridge overlooking the pond. Two private all sports lakes are within a 3 minute drive and access comes with the rental. Excellent dining and a ski resort are only 5 minutes away yet when you pull into the driveway and relax in the cozy living room, the only sound you will probably hear is crackling of the fire in the wood stove or the ticking of the clock!
From our well-equipped kitchen to the luxury bedding, everything at Heron Pointe says "come on in and relax and unwind!"
Sun bathe on the deck, grill out or enjoy a toasty campfire at our big one of our 3 fire pits -- a big outdoor fire circle, the chimineria on the deck or the fire pit in the garden sitting area.
Speaking of gardens, we have a huge organic fruit and vegetable garden and guests are always welcome to pick their own, as well as weed, if feeling so inclined!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heron Pointe. It truly feels like a home away from home. Inside, we had plenty of room to spread out, the furnishings are comfortable and stylish, the home was fully equipped with everything we needed and it was peaceful and quiet. Outside, the yard is amazing. Our kids enjoyed exploring the property with it's tranquil pond, waterfall, huge garden, and a great climbing tree! We will definitely stay here again next time we're in town...it was perfect!
