The Lodge is among the finest accommodations of the Catskills. A 1910 craftsman fishing lodge with all the warmth and charms of a stone fireplace, wood beamed ceilings and douglas fir floors, but fully updated with the modern comforts of home. Walk out your door and hike or fish!
The Main Lodge room has two leather sofas in front of a river stone fireplace which is constructed from Woodland Valley brook stones. The Lodge bedrooms and dining room are themed on the great western US National Parks, and of course on New York’s own Catskills Park. Yellowstone (1872) and Rainier (1899) are downstairs off of the Main Lodge room, and each sleeps two in queen beds. Glacier (1910) is upstairs and also sleeps two in a queen bed, while Yosemite (1890) is across the hallway and sleeps four in twin beds. There is a separate complete bathroom on each floor. The Library / TV room, also located off of the Main Lodge, is another cozy spot to sit and read on a leather sofa there with your feet on the ottoman. The Catskills (1894) dining room, is at the back of the ground floor past the kitchen and breakfast table. In the Catskills room you’ll enjoy views of the Woodland Valley on three sides as you sit at the stone topped dining table or in twin lounge chairs listening to the bucolic bubbling of the Woodland Valley trout brook.
The kitchen is well fitted with modern appliances and is waiting for your culinary touches, or if you choose a break from cooking the wonderful restaurants nearby include Brios, Alamo Cantina, Sweet Sue’s on Main Street in Phoenicia, Tavern 214 just around the corner on Hwy 214, or the Phoenicia Diner and Peekamoose nearby on Hwy 28.
The scenery surrounding the Lodge is spectacular and just outside your door. Mountains are on all sides. Watch deer with their fawns below you from the Catskill room as you drink your morning coffee. Fish for rainbow and brown trout, or enjoy a refreshing swim in the brook. Hike or showshoe the many nearby trails. Sit around the firepit at night in Adirondack chairs listening to the wood crackle and the brook passing just feet away.
The Lodge brings the US National Parks to you just two hours from the city. Come spend some time - relax and energize with nature all around you.

Why This Property?
We rented homes for many years all around the southern Catskills and quickly identified Woodland Valley as the best location for our family. It is remote enough to feel away from it all, yet just a 4 mile walk or bike ride DOWN to Phoenicia and all it has to offer.

The lodge is steps from: the pristine woodland valley stream for swimming and fishing, several fantastic trailheads for hikes, and fantastic views of the valley, BUT you are also a 5 minute drive to world-class restaurants and some great little shops!
