Refined rustic, re-purposed, reclaimed cabin for rent in Bellevue, Ohio near Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio. Just for starters, the cabin was built from 95% salvaged materials found in many different locales and then recycled into a reborn structure. Dancing Fox is filled with both handmade and original antique style furnishings along with many cabin comforts adding to your senses, creating a truly one of a kind opportunity. With it's rural locale setting, simple shed style roof, barn wood exterior cladding, interior walls sheathed in white-washed barn boards, wide-plank pine flooring, handmade kitchen cabinetry with vintage schoolhouse slate chalkboard counter tops and barn beam framing, you will be enveloped by the subtle feeling of our pioneers, a sense of soothing well-being and one of a simpler more calmer lifestyle.
In keeping strides with our environment, we provide you with many earth-friendly products, such as quality eucalyptus and bamboo sheets, quality towels washed with dye free and fragrant free detergent, fair trade coffee, natural fiber rugs, and much more that qualifies us to meet the "eco-friendly accommodation" seal. Even portions of our landscaping is composed of trees and plants donated and dug from local abandoned farm fields and neighboring woods and our flower gardens consist of gifts and donations from guests, friends and thinning from others. This touches just a few points about our non-traditional accommodation and we hope that you will come and stay with us and experience Dancing Fox for yourself.

There is no separate bedroom. We built the cabin to replicate how settlers lived featuring a warm open concept. The cabin features a queen size log bunk bed and queen size hide-a-bed.

One of life’s most exciting pleasures is creating unique lasting memories for our guests and us as your hosts. As travelers ourselves, we seek out the creative and unique lodging experiences, one that will be remembered, talked about and shared with others for years to come. Knowing the history of our 1842 home and understanding how families lived while building their main family home such as ours, we decided to share and offer an experience to others. For over a year, we scoured, gathered and tore down a building here and there to locate salvaged materials, re-purposed items, and gently used pieces and parts from various locations throughout our 4 county area. After we felt we had enough materials gathered, the challenging process of building began. After 1.5 years of hard work, not to mention the creative thinking that had to go into the building process to make all the parts and pieces fit and come together, Dancing Fox was born and we absolutely love it! To us, it's a treasure trove of local history, stories and ourselves. We guarantee, you will remember Dancing Fox Cabin too.
