The Exuma Cays are some of the most beautiful of the 700 islands that make up the Bahamas, and are located just a one hours flight from Miami, Florida. The Exuma's are made up of 365 cays, some are inhabited, many are not, and each is breathtaking in its own right. Just a five-minute ride from the Georgetown Airport and you will be stepping off of the patio onto a two-mile stretch of an unspoiled, baby powder, white sand beach; and gazing into the crystal clear turquoise waters of one of the most sought after beaches in Exuma, and in fact…all of the Bahamas.
Located in Silver Beach Estates-Tar Bay, Turtle View has been redesigned and totally renovated to incorporate a beach side feel with an eclectic mix of furnishings from Bali, India, the U.S. and The Bahamas. As this was originally designed to be a second home for the owners, no attention to detail has been spared. Upon completion, the owners were so thrilled over the outcome, that they decided to share their beachfront retreat with you.

About 5 miles to the east is the newly opened butcher shop called Prime Meats that has an incredible array of items to cook on the beachside BBQ. A little further east is a convenience store and a liquor store.
The town of Georgetown is another 4 miles east. Besides finding hotels and restaurants along this route to town (that will be listed in our welcome booklet at the house) you will find a larger grocery store in town, as well as 2 banks with ATM machines, tourist shops with lovely Bahamian made gifts, additional restaurants, and the straw market.
There are some lovely drives to see many of the amazing sites and beaches of Exuma. The drive to Little Exuma across the little one car bridge will take you to some great restaurants as well as the Tropic of Cancer Beach and some World Heritage Sites. The 15 minute ferry to Stocking island to sit in the water with the Rays and feed them, while having a drink and a meal at the famous Chat N Chill beach restaurant is another great way to spend a day. And it would not be a visit to Exuma with our seeing and being in the water with the famous swimming pigs. Spending your holiday in a beautiful home on the beach....There's lots to do in Exuma, or nothing to do in Exuma...the good news is that the choice is yours!

Living in Nassau, The Bahamas for 32 years has given us the chance to see the real beauty of The Bahamas, which is the family islands. They are smaller, friendly, each is unique in its own right. The Exuma's are second to none in our book. The color of the water changes from turquoise, to sapphire, and to indigo all at the same time. The sand bars where you can walk out forever up to your ankles at low tide are truly enchanting, and the sea life ( turtles, lobster, conch and tropical fish) is just beautiful. No wonder the astronaut Scott Kelly said, last year, when looking down on Exuma that it was "the most beautiful place from space", and "The Bahamas never fails to impress", because indeed it truly does not.

We have visited many of the family islands during the course of our lives in The Bahamas, and although there are 700 islands in the Bahamas ( not all inhabited) we kept coming back to Exuma. The crystal clear turquoise waters and the pristine white sand beaches kept drawing us back. Tar Bay Beach on Silver Beach Estates in particular was where we knew we wanted to be. With its close proximity to the airport and town, and the 2 mile stretch of unspoiled beach, it is the most highly sought after beach in all of the Exumas. Two steps down from the patio you are walking on the most glorious soft sand beach that is like your own private retreat. The reef off of the house is home our resident turtle, as well as lobster and a lovely array of beautifully colored fish. The people of Exuma are warm and friendly and are willing to answer questions, or help you find something that you may need. They have a special twinkle in their eye when telling you stories of their island that will warm your heart. This island is truly a vacation paradise.

The house is equipped with Wi Fi. The great room has Cable TV, a DVD player, and a 55" flat screen Smart TV to hook up to your Netflix account and a bluetooth enabled sound bar with woofer that will play all of the music on your smart phone. There are ceiling fans and split AC units for your comfort. The 2 seaside bedrooms have French doors leading out to the patio, as well as 32" flat screen TV's and DVD players.
Wake up to incredible sunrises right off of the 600 sq. ft. patio. Grab a cup of coffee or cappuccino, step off of the patio right onto the sand and stroll down the magnificent beach and revel in the fact that you are alone with nature. Our favorite start to the day!
The house comes fully equipped with 3 kayaks ( 2 one person and 1 two person), life jackets, boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, floats and beach toys. Everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable.
After a day out, relax on the patio with a cool drink and gaze at the ocean in search of a turtle bobbing out of the crystal clear azure waters. Then enjoy a magnificent dinner on the patio as you listen to the lapping of the waves and watch the incredible billions of stars in the clear sky. Perhaps you will see a shooting star and you can wish to revisit the enchanting Exuma's again. Once you have experienced this tropical paradise with its stunning turquoise water, we are sure you will want to return again and again.

My experience in turtle view exuma was extraordinary, my second honey moon.. The house is full of all comforts and is in front on a beautiful beach, is a real paradise.. quiet and beautiful. take a boat and take a look around, the Exuma is everywhere fantastic

Wonderful Five Star Home on Windex Blue Water!

This trip goes down as one of our best family vacations. We arrived with our 11 and 13 year old children and within minutes of arrival they jumped in their swimsuits and ran to the water. We have been to Maui, Kauai, Turks and Caicos, St. John, BVI, Cat Island, and several other Cays around the Bahamas. Exuma goes down as our favorite. The windex blue water: I took a million pictures of it, but it is never is as beautiful as it is in person. We explored the beaches, chartered a boat to the upper cays, ate at all the local restaurants and most importantly relaxed in this wonderful home. The home needs nothing more, it was an absolute joy to cook meals in the chefs kitchen while looking out at the beautiful ocean. Turtle View is nothing short of spectacular. We cant wait to return.

I had the good fortune of being able to be a repeater at this spectacular spot. The hosts have thought of providing all the conveniences you could ask for inclusive of tips on shopping, where to dine, night life, or if you want to just kick back and enjoy the cerulean blue vistas. You can have the use of kayaks, snorkeling equipment, and the other water toys they provide for their guests. Should you be an early riser, you will be greeted by a magnificent sunrise that will take your breath away. Whether you are a family, a group of good friends, a couple seeking serenity, or you're having a girls only escape, this venue fills all the voids. From well appointed tasteful furnishings to state of the art connectivity should you choose to remain "connected" this property affords you all the choices. I also liked the proximity to both the town and airport. It will not disappoint . I have every intention of returning.
