The island kitchen offers all new appliances including a dishwasher. The bathroom is custom tiled. My husband and I stayed at Art and Sophie's condo at Maui Kai for 1 week. The view of the ocean was gorgeous as we entered the condo. Can't get any closer to the ocean than this! We saw lots of whales every day as we sat on the lanai. We brought our binoculars but Art and Sophie already had a pair ready for us to use. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was...slept each night listening to the calming ocean waves. The condo was clean and met our needs. For most people, life happens and sometimes one has to change plans. The way Art and Sophie Nickel handle this is truly a plus. Art was easy to work with and eager to help in anyway. Mahalo for a wonderful week.
This was our first trip to Maui. Art and Sophie Nickel were great to work with. Maui Kai 806 is very conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, shops and walking trails. The staff was always friendly and courteous and the grounds beautifully maintained. When we weren't out site-seeing, our most favorite place to be was on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We could see whales all day and every day. We took binoculars and could get some great views of the whales, boats, kite boarders, etc. The sunsets were spectacular viewing them right off our private balcony. We would highly recommend anyone considering staying in Maui Kai 806 to do it. Wonderful place in paradise!
My daughter and I stayed came to Hawaii with my sister. We stayed here for 10 days and she was there for 24. Even though there were 3 of us in this lovely condo, it never felt crowded. This unit is exactly as advertised. The bed is fantastically comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil you might need. If you want to take a trip to the beach, there are beach chairs, a sun umbrella, coolers, flippers and towels. The shampoo and conditioner are even exceptional! The staff in the office are so friendly and helpful. They booked excursions for us and recommended events to attend and places to shop and eat. The condo was very clean. The pool was fantastic. The stocked kitchen at the cabana made eating by the pool easy and the BBQ was another great feature that we took advantage of. But as those that have come before me have said, it is the view that makes this condo a little piece of heaven. Every morning we would sit on the lanai and the whales would not disappoint. We could watch them for hours and we did! And the sunsets...oh my god, the sunsets.....just breathtaking. The lanai is like an oasis. We didn't even use the table inside for eating...we ate all our meals outside. I would recommend this condo to anyone and everyone and would come back in a heartbeat. I didn't want to leave.
You never really leave a place you love. Part of it you take with you; leaving part of you behind. We had our best trip yet to Maui and our beloved 806. Maui Kai 806 was as wonderful as always. Loved having the beach umbrella We can't wait to return. We treat your home as if it was our own. We love it so. L and R
