Why This Property?

The view blew us away ! How could you not fall in love with a property with this kind of view. The island at that time was not what it is today -- it was much quieter in regards to tourism -- but even today, Marigot is unique in having kept it's small town feel.

Unique Benefits

The view is the thing with Hibiscus. It's so soothing and peaceful to watch the boats come in and out -- some quite fabulous. And to sit by the pool with a good book gives you the relaxing mood you want for a vacation away from your work stress. Many guests form strong friendships with other guests they meet here and come again and again - -together.

Tucked into the north side of Marigot Bay, far on the western shore, sits Hibiscus Cottage. The cottage faces out to the Caribbean Sea; and the sunsets; and sailboats and yachts drifting by. Breathtakingly beautiful views, soft Caribbean breezes, four comfortable apartments, tiled deck with lounge chairs surrounding a splash pool for cooling down. Clean white walls are accented by a mint green and blue/gray trim. Each unit has its own separate entrance.
Hibiscus Cottage offers you a choice of four separate apartments offering you comfortable accommodations for your stay in Marigot Bay, St. Lucia. The two upper floor units each have a living space (dining, living) and a balcony with a separate kitchen, bedroom and bath. They differ in several ways - -unit 3, has a living space that is enclosed with French glass doors that can be left open or closed. The kitchen is separated from the living area with an eat in bar. The bedroom has a king size bed, fan overhead and mosquito netting. The ensuite bathroom has a large soaking tub with a view; separate tiled shower! Unit 4 has a living space that is screened but opens to an unscreened balcony view of the sea. Off this area is a kitchen with everything you will need to cook. The bedroom/ensuite bath has a king size bed with fans overhead and mosquito netting. Hardwood flooring in the living areas; tile in the kitchens, bedrooms, baths. Shuttered windows can be opened to the sea breezes. Apartment #3 offers about 1000 square feet (305 square meters) of living space. Apartment #4 has about 720 square feet (220 square meters).
Units 1 and 2 are on the ground level and lead directly to the pool area. Both have spacious bedrooms and baths. Separate kitchens. Each unit opens to a latticed sitting area with dining table just off the tiled pool area. Unit 1 has a queen size bed; unit 2, a king. Again, both have fans overhead and mosquito netting. Tiled floors. Again, you will have great sea views and also be steps away from the pool. These units are cozy and comfortable but simpler than the ones on the second floor and smaller (about 270 square feet for unit #1 and 350 square feet for #2)
Each has it’s own unique view of the bay but all offer wonderful views. And the sunsets are not to be missed. If you have never seen the Green Flash, this is a prime viewing spot! The property is edged by lands that are natural and beautifully planted with tropical flowers. Go to sleep with the tree frogs chirping and waken to bird song. Sitting around the pool, getting to meet your neighbors is a unique treat – they might be from a town near you or halfway around the world. Fun to share your journey after a day of touring. Near the pool area is a fireplace that can be used for grilling – using local charcoal or wood.
This home is a great spot for honeymooners, that special anniversary or birthday celebration, a family gathering where each couple has their own space, or even a small wedding!
Come – relax by the pool - -soak up some sun -- -get the vibe of Marigot Bay and StLucia !
In Marigot, you can relax on the beach or go snorkeling or diving, sail off down the coast for the day, or just relax. Ten restaurants within a short walk -- all offering various cuisine and all on the water or with a waterview.
The bay is located about halfway down the island making it very easy to tour the north or the south. Enjoy the shopping or beaches of Rodney Bay -- or go south to the Souffriere area and hike the Pitons or go to the mud baths for rejuvenation. There is plenty to do -- or you can just relax by the pool at Hibiscus reading a good book!
