Observe sacred green sea turtles and brightly colored tropical fish that abound in the underwater paradise while you settle into the slower island vibe.
This area offers so many diversions throughout the year. Make sure you rent a car to travel to all of the beautiful waterfalls, tropical forests, cliff jumping, golfing, hiking, active volcano flows, surfing, swimming, paddling, kayaking, hot ponds/springs, Kona coffee farming, macadamia nut tours, craft micro-breweries, and even 14k mountains with snow. Should you tire of these abundant activities and just want to relax in the sun away from the beach, there is a private in-ground saline pool with BBQ available for your use.
The living space is fully remodeled from top to bottom with a beautiful full ocean sunset view. The living, dining and kitchen are all open concept so conversations can flow between areas as everyone shares the spectacular ocean view. A unique feature is the Ohia post that supports a spacious loft with upscale futon, accessed by a handmade ladder, for one to relax and read a book in or kiddos to play. Hand carved wooden art work decorates the walls from a welcome sign, palm tree framed mirror, mini surfboards, and fish, along with artisan created ceramic fish plates. If you decide to use the fully stocked kitchen with marble counters, you can prep delectable dinners while gazing out at the ocean.
The vaulted ceilings throughout cannot be missed, while some hidden features include Japanese sitting chair under coffee table and expanding dining table. Want some fun on an evening in? Check out our fully stocked game cabinet and play Cranium, Jenga, Pick Up Sticks, and Cards or try your hand playing our ukulele. We are fully stocked with everything you need for your family to immediately hit the beach! This gear includes 5+ snorkel sets, beach chairs, hammock, coolers, beach towels, beach toys, and standup paddleboard saving you time and money.
Drift off to sleep in one of the two blue bedrooms. The guest room features a queen bed and cherry wood furniture, while the master suite includes handsome wood and thatch furniture and a king bed. Both rooms have full-sized closets and full-length windows, and beautiful ivory blackout drapes. There are two bathrooms, one features a gorgeous and spacious walk in shower with bench, and built in candleholders for added romance or for drinks, the choice is yours. The master bathroom has a tub to accompany the lovely Hawai'ian honu theme. This spacious location is a fantastic deal for your family and friends with plenty of space to stretch out.

Being at a 1500 foot elevation makes the evening cool for sleeping and yet comfortably warm during the day. Jump in your rental car for a quick 8 mile drive to downtown Kailua-Kona.) We often host travelers training for the Ironman and other Triathlon events that enjoy the ability to easily reach the many different swimming spots of both the south and north. The Big Island is very large and offers so much sightseeing that you’ll find this location to be smack dab in the middle to experience each of the unique sights Pele’s mountain in the ocean has to offer.
From the property location, 15 min in any direction will take you to great water for snorkeling and beach time, including Magic Sands just makai from the property. To fully experience the Big Island we highly recommend day trips to visit: the North resort beaches in the Kohala area, the black and green sand beaches in the South, waterfalls in Hamakua coast and rainforests in the Waipio valley, it is a *very* Big Island with so much to offer!
