It is located in the very heart of Rome, tucked between all its world-acclaimed central areas: Campo de' Fiori area, the Jewish Ghetto, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and the Roman Forum are a stone's throw away. The palace faces the world-acclaimed Turtle Fountain, which can be seen from its windows.

The palace is owned since 1578 by the Italian noble Costaguti family, which merged over the century with another noble family of Spanish origin.
