Family Reunion at the Laie Beach Retreat
Date of Stay: May 1st , 2017

chris lynch5/5 a year ago on Google- I stayed here for a family reunion and loved the place. Beautiful views of the bay and the small islands off of the coast. The beach is right outside the door and is ideal for a sunrise walk to the point (about 1 and 1/2 miles there and back). The neighborhood is very nice, the people are friendly and the Hukilau Cafรฉ is near by and serves good food.

Jeff the turtle at the Laie Beach Retreat
Date of Stay: June 1st , 2017

Jason Kimball5/5 11 months ago on Google- My family stayed here both times when we came to Hawaii. This place was the best place on the island. It is a nice getaway from the big high rises, hotels, and business of Honolulu. It is a nice quiet retreat with the beach right in your backyard! The owners who rent this little house are super nice and let you enjoy your stay. My favorite thing here, is of course, the beach! I remember one time I was swimming out in the water, when I noticed a sea turtle swimming in the same place I was. I dove under the water (with goggles on) and got close enough to the turtle I could see it had been tagged and given a name! His name was Jeff. You might not have the same experience I did, but I know that if we weren't here for our vacation I never would have experienced that! Also Goat island is really close too. That little island is much worth a visit. The water is calmer and has a lot of birds, and wildlife on it. Overall this place is where you want to be to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city! It is still in a reasonable distance too! The place is nice and can have 6 people in it. Overall, if I ever come back to Hawaii this is the place I am going to be! I am so excited for when that day comes!

7 summer visits to the Laie Beach Retreat
Date of Stay: April 22nd , 2017

Sue Ann Napoleon ยท April 22, 2017 Our family has been blessed for the last seven years as we all come together once a year at our special home in La`ie. The home and beach have brought so many wonderful memories for our children and grandchildren. Spending all day at this most beautiful Hukilau Beach and then coming back to a huge kitchen to eat, play cards and just talk is pure joy. Most especially, the owners truly take the extra steps to ensure that our stay is memorable. We plan on coming for a long time and thank them for giving us their home to celebrate our family.

In the water 3 times a day, snorkeling with turtles!
Date of Stay: May 21st , 2017

Marni Gendron ยท May 21, 2017 Our family of 13 stayed in Hukilau Beach Retreat from April 3-13 and found it perfect for our needs. Our grandchildren ranging from 13-23 were in the water three times a day either, snorkeling with turtles, body boarding, boogie boarding (provided), swimming, surfing and even fishing from the shore. Our children walked the beach twice daily and we enjoyed sitting on the deck or beach chairs up on the knoll just watching the sea or reading. We loved the large kitchen that we could have several people cooking at one time while the grands played Phase Ten at the big table. The bedrooms worked well for all of us and we set up fans where they were most needed. The location was great whether driving to Haieiwa for shops and a meal or exploring Kahana Beach Park. We walked to Foodland, Angels for Pineapple Whip or McDonalds for WiFi. Wil-Wili's is a favorite stop for Shave Ice and the Kahuku Fruit Stand for fried bananas after a day in the sun and ocean. The owner Pam and her husband were very pleasant to work with and responsive to any needs that came up. We felt like it was our beach retreat for the ten days and everyone wants to come back.
