Villa Mariposa is a private oceanfront villa nestled in a half acre of tropical gardens and enjoys panoramic views of the turquoise water of the Caicos Banks. You will find large patios with comfortable furniture, a 48 foot free-form swimming pool and unobstructed vistas of turquoise waters - you may never want to leave!
Laze to the sound of the sea lapping at the shoreline below, or walk down the steps to the large sea-level deck where you can take the steps into the water for swimming and snorkeling, or take out any of the double kayaks provided for your pleasure. Don't forget to look for the glow worms from the dock, a few days after the full moon each month, details in the villa's guest book.
Taylor Bay, a crescent-shaped beach with sugar-white sand which is always quiet and sometimes deserted, is a two–minute stroll from the villa's private driveway. Enjoy a dip in the shallow, calm waters that are ideal for children or enjoy a romantic sunset stroll and cocktails on the beach from your cooler.
Inside the villa, you will find a professionally designed décor with terracotta floors and 25 foot cathedral ceilings. Mariposa has three lovely bedrooms, each with a full ensuite bathroom. There is a king size bedroom, a queen size bedroom and a bedroom with two twin beds. Each bedroom is cooled by the wonderful ocean breezes or there is individual air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, microwave and more.
In the islands you will have access to a huge variety of water related activities; world class scuba diving, snorkeling, stand-up paddle boarding, fishing, sailing and more. Provo has become a favourite destination for kiteboarding\kitesurfing, and for good reason. Excellent instruction is available and the location .... miles of soft sand and warm shallow water at Long Bay Beach - perfect for beginners and experienced riders alike. Ask us for recommendations on the best school to choose!
The world famous Grace Bay beach is a short drive away. It was recently voted the best in the world - miles of white sand, some areas have excellent snorkelling right off the beach, you will find fantastic restaurants on the 'main stretch' and then miles more that are nearly always deserted. Keep a look out for JoJo!
You can take day trips to other islands to experience all that the Turks and Caicos islands have to offer. Salt Cay for whale watching early in the year, quaint Grand Turk at any time (excellent diving here too!) North and Middle Caicos for even more deserted beaches and pretty coves. There are plenty of friendly people to help you on your way!

The view from Mariposa is breathtakingly beautiful and one that never grows old. We spent our time relaxing by the pool, taking in the view of the ocean, snorkelling off the dock, using the villa's kayaks or absorbing the beauty of the peaceful Taylor Bay beach. The villa is equipped with everything you might need and beautifully decorated throughout. The owners recommended some fantastic places for us and were very helpful. I would definitely recommend!

The beauty of Villa Mariposa truly does take your breath away! The villa is very private, spacious and beautifully decorated both inside and out. The views are magnificent and lounging in the pool and overlooking the sea is something we will never forget - the water is the most beautiful colour of blue we have ever seen in the Caribbean. It's a short walk down to a spacious dock where you can snorkel or take out one of the kayaks, lots of fun. The villa is very well designed and appointed so eating in was a treat - we barbequed local fish and lobster and it was out of this world! The owners and mangers are great, very accommodating. They recommended lots of day trips and restaurants - every one was excellent, we particularly liked Las Brisas (which is just down the street) and the Tiki Hut. The island of Provo is truly unique and beautiful and if you are interested, check out TCK kite boarding, ask for Nik, he's great! We will highly recommend this to all our family and friends!
