About Connie Hartke
We live in Northern Virginia. Paul owns a real estate company and I run our online real estate school and property manage our 2 cabins in the Smokies. We visit 3-4 times a year and our excellent maintenance & housekeeping crew keep the cabin in great shape. Connie always has one eye on our cabins in the Smokies! Why This Property?
On 4th of July weekend 2005, Paul and Connie Hartke visited his brother and wife at their new rental cabin, Breathless, while searching for an investment cabin of their own. An entire day was spent looking at properties around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, TN. We were excited about several options, but when we got back to Breathless that evening with its awesome panoramic view over Wea ... more +
Unique Benefits
Very private without being totally secluded. Minutes from a 'secret' entrance into the National Park. Constantly changing scenery from our perch on a flat ridge that juts out from Cove Mountain and overlooks Wears Valley and the surrounding mountains. You can hike 1,000' up to the top of Cove Mountain, & then you are in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Turn right for trail to the old fire ... more +

Breathtaking Mt Views!
Date of Stay: October 1st , 2017

My husband and I discovered Connie & Paul's cabins (Eagles View & Above the Clouds) about eight yrs ago and we keep coming back! Both cabins are well-kept, pet friendly and handicap assessable, AND the mountain views are magnificent! Mornings are our favorite times-sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch sipping our coffee with the most breathtaking views right in front of us. Then there's the awesome sunsets-we stand on the porch with camera in hand! You don't want to miss the sun setting over the mountain range! Most important is that our dealings with Connie have been like conducting business with a good friend! We recently celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary at Eagles View. Connie and Paul had a card and gift waiting for us when we arrived!

Honeymoon "Home"
Date of Stay: August 3rd , 2017

From our Guest Book: We will always have a special place in our hearts for Eagles View. We got married in the Valley yesterday and had our honeymoon here. It was wonderful coming home to a beautiful cabin and a gorgeous view with my husband. We look forward to visiting again soon . . . I want to see that bear I keep hearing about!

Amazing experience w/ both cabin and owners
Date of Stay: July 5th , 2017

My family(4 adults, 2 kids, and our dog) stayed at this gorgeous cabin for 3 days. The view is like no other! We've been there twice now and the view from this cabin has been the best. Our kids really enjoyed it and we hope to come back. The communication with Mrs. Connie was great, she had everything laid out for us when we got there and was on stand by just in case we needed anything. Amazing experience, two thumbs up!

Majestic View
Date of Stay: September 18th , 2016

We have stayed in this cabin twice now and just love it. It is truly handicapped accessable (sometimes they are not). About a half mile from the back entrance to the Smokies. The views of the mountains are spectacular. Yes it's a drive down into the valley but so worth staying in this beautiful setting.
