We have stayed in the Eagles View cabin a total of 3 time, and have never been disappointed. My husband in in a wheelchair, and there is plenty of room for him to move around on the main floor. There is an upper floor with a pool table, and plenty of games to pass time away on those rainy days that might occur. The views are absolutely amazing. If you look to the left...you would see beautiful mountains. If you look out the front door, you see the glorious valley, where there is a convince store, Dollar General, restaurants, and several types of shopping experiences. Close to Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. The owners of the cabin are very kind, and accommodating. They even left me a birthday card, which I felt was very personal and appreciated. The cabin was well stocked if you plan on making your own meals. Loved the hot tub, clean and refreshing. You have neighbors, but the way the porch is, it feels very much secluded. Now...the ONLY fault that I could say is the sofa mattress is tolerable, but could be upgraded. I consider this MY cabin without all the hassle of maintaining it. The price of this cabin is extremely fair for all that you experience there.
Owner's Response: We love having you two visit! I'm making arrangements for a new foam mattress for the sleeper sofa - we always appreciate guests letting us know these things.
We stayed from 5/7-5/14. We enjoyed the beautiful view and spending our Anniversary here. Connie even had a sweet anniversary card waiting on us at the cabin and checked in on us by email to see if we needed anything. The cabin was super clean and lovely. We took advantage of the bear puzzle in our week here since on our 2nd day it stormed all day. We plan on coming back and staying again soon. You can't go wrong with this lovely cabin and view.
Owner's Response: We love to hear that guests enjoyed "hanging around" the cabin. This year, that can be the best thing to do - with the ever-changing views outside your windows!
We planned a get away to get some needed R&R. We really loved โEagles Viewโ it had the most beautiful scenery, beautiful sunset & sunrise. Ms. Connie is so sweet & always responded even on our silly questions! ???? the bed was comfortable as well. We even had an issue with the dishwasher & she was quick to get it fixed, literally within few hours. It is a little drive to Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge. But we did not mind at all. We have stayed in many cabins in the smoky mountains but we fill this is our favorite hands down. And we will go back.
Honestly, I'm a bit hesitant to write this review because then my secret may get out and it may be harder to rebook this place in the future....We have stayed in Eagles View twice now and could not be more satisfied with our trip. The cabin is gorgeous! It is always impeccably clean with all the comforts of home, plus a few extra bonuses. The view has to be the best in all of the Smokies and the owners are a pleasure to deal with. Connie really does make the extra effort to assure all goes well and that you enjoy your stay. We have made so many memories here already and cannot wait to return again.
Our December 2018 trip to the Tennessee Smoky Mountains was more for business than pleasure as I wanted to explore the possibility of building a small vacation home on some land that I had purchased in Townsend over a dozen years ago. Since my wife was going to accompany me this time I decided to rent a log cabin instead of making my usual motel reservation and booked The Eagles View in nearby Wears Valley. Upon our after dark arival I had the opportunity to enter a few minutes before my wife (who was attending to stuff at the car) and was able to light the cabin's seasonal Christmas tree and fireplace and get the TV turned to the Holiday Music channel, so when she got inside it was to a perfectly cozy log cabin setting. This time of year the night time Christmas lights along the Pigeon Forge's Parkway are spectacular and we even managed a walk through downtown G-burg one mild winter evening The thing that impressed me most about Eagles View was the cleanliness of the cabin as compared to several others that we had rented previously. There was absolutely no dust anywhere, the kitchen was well stocked with supplies, as was the bathroom. The king bed was extremely comfortable and the living room couch a delight to sit in. The newly paved asphalt road and parking area were also a nice touch. The home is whimsically decorated in a Black Bear motif and was very comfortable for our brief stay. Our 2 days were highly productive as I got to see 3 builders and am currently awaiting their quotes. However, at this point, I feel that we will probably simply continue to rent for our future visits to the Smokies. In that regard we would like to put Eagles View on the top of our list for future sojourns into the mountains.
