"Moose Mountain Lodge" gets it name from the stately bull moose mount on the stone fireplace. Before building we sought an acreage that was tranquil, peaceful, and most of all had views. Picture Pefect Retreat
Date of Stay: March 20th , 2016

What's not to love about this glorious, picture-perfect cabin and location?!? The cabin sits perfectly further up in elevation and a perfect distance from Estes Park and the National Park. A quick drive from the cabin got us to fabulous shops, adventures and site-seeing. At the cabin, as soon as we stepped foot onto the expansive porch and opened the front door to the open kitchen, dining room, and beautiful living room with stone fireplace, we knew the vacation was going to be perfect and relaxing. The ping pong table and hot tub were the original deciding factors for choosing this cabin, but we were pleasantly surprised by the other accommodations (such as an extensive book library and board games) for ensuring the stay will be a perfect family get-away. The lodge was immaculately clean, comfortable and the amenities such as washer/dryer, 3 bathrooms, kitchenware, etc. added to the relaxing factor of the vacation. Our first night there, we didn't think of turning up the thermostat on the heater. Even though it was snowing outside, the fireplace and blower on the fireplace kept the entire cabin comfortably warm. Speaking of snow - who can resist a feeling a gentle snowfall while sitting in the hot tub on the back deck while gazing at the stars & the mountains as mule deer travel through the yard? Magical is all I can say about this cabin! Recommended for: Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

A Perfect Stay
Date of Stay: March 14th , 2016

The cabin was very welcoming after a long road trip from Texas and felt at home in no time! Very spacious and offers everything you can ask for from a hot tub to a ping pong table. Nestled in a neighborhood very close to town, you still get that secluded felling and wonderful views out the oversized windows. Almost guaranteed to see wildlife just roaming outside so have your camera ready! Location is literally minutes from downtown Estes Park and a very short drive to RMNP. I look forward to our next visit to Estes Park and booking this property would be my first priority when planning trip.

Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommended
Date of Stay: January 16th , 2016

We had a great stay in the house. The rooms are cozy, not too big or small. Having use of the unfinished basement with extra bathroom and washer/dryer was a nice bonus. The open kitchen, dining room, and living room gave us lots of time together with no one being isolated in the kitchen during meal prep. The ping pong table and hot tub added to the fun. It was super cold outside, and oh so windy. The house stayed warm and despite hearing the wind, we never felt it. Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. We found the house spotlessly clean, well appointed, close to town, amazing views, good amenities, lots of wildlife roaming around. We'll definitely be back. Estes is a great little town, and this was a great house for our extended family to enjoy. We absolutely enjoyed our time at Moose Mountain! We Arrived to a very CLEAN house. All of us enjoyed seeing the deer daily. The hot tub and fire place where amazing. Ping pong in the basement was a blast! Randy and Mitzi where great to work with, responding quickly to my questions. Not far from sledding in the National Forest for the kids. The kids will always remember Christmas 2015 at Moose Mountain!! Will definitely stay here again! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers

Date of Stay: October 24th , 2015

This house was perfect. Included everything we could have possibly needed. Not very far from town, or the liquor store. ;-) And we enjoyed the hot tub every single night. In the morning, the local herd of Elk came to our backdoor to greet us. Super super cool! We couldn't have asked for a better vacation home. So very glad we found it. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers
