Sanibel Island is lined throughout the entire island with bike paths. You can bike within minutes to shops, restaurants, the beach, etc. Watch dolphins and manatee play in the gulf and canals. Lay in the sun. Hang out under a palm tree and read. Have an afternoon drink under a tiki hut. You'll never feel more relaxed - let island life take you away! The island has lots of great restaurants to choose from...all islandy and quaint, none are chains. Same with the shopping...boutique shops for everyone...lots have local artist's work for sale. There is a playhouse and movie theatre for entertainment, and of course, lots of boating excursions (fishing, shelling, head to another island for lunch, sunset cruises, etc.). The shelling on Sanibel is some of the best in the world (just be sure to leave the live shells, sand dollars, sea stars, etc.). Sanibel is truly and island paradise and you don't have to leave the US to get there, however you'll never know you're in Florida~

The owner of this property requires a 50% down payment to reserve and full payment 30 days before check-in.

About Karen and Phil Schneidermeyer
We've been vacationing on Sanibel Island for the past 30 years. Our first property is a condo at Pointe Santo de Sanibel. This property has been in our family for 30 years. We got spoiled vacationing here, so when it was time to consider retirement, we knew exactly where our winter home would be. In September 2015 we purchased this home and absolutely love it! We know you will too!
Why This Property?
The location of this property is phenomenal. Avoiding traffic during the peak season is a breeze at this home. We also love that we are in the Dunes yet do not have a golf course in our backyard. Instead, we have a gorgeous lake teeming with wildlife. Absolutely lovely! Having a private pool was another must for us along with having a beach within biking distance.
