This is my 3rd consecutive year visiting #1 and I certainly hope to return next year. The location and setting is incredible. As soon as I arrived after a long flight from Australia I couldn't wait to get into the pool, sit on a lounger, watch the awesome sunsets and enjoy a glass of wine on the water's edge. It really is a great relaxing place to enjoy my vacation.
Writing a review on a location which one has visited many times can be difficult. Not so for #1 though, from the first morning, on opening the blinds and seeing the beautiful blue sky with the sun sparkling on the water, you know this is why you keep coming back each year. It has a surreal beauty about it that gives one a feeling of peace. If another reason is needed, then look no further than Honeymoon Island. Wandering along the Nature Trail or just meandering through the surf along North Beach will bring on that 'feel good' factor. Great place to spend at least half a day. Dunedin, even though it is going through some changes, still retains it's 'Olde World' charm. This is particulary so when strolling along Victoria Drive under the shade of the old oak trees growing there. A car is not really necessary when staying here as everything is within easy walking distance and there are plenty of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. Further afield, there is Tarpon Springs or Clearwater which are only about 30 minutes drive away are well worth visiting. To add to the charm of #1 are the owners, Lesley and Alan, nothing is too much trouble, we feel like old friends. The apartment is well equipped and extremely comfortable and the air conditioning very efficient. We look forward to our return again next year.
This is our fourth stay at #One and it appears to get better each time. The 180 degree views of St. Joseph Sound and the islands, from inside the condo, make you feel like you are outside all the time. As always, #One is very well appointed and maintained by the owner’s and local manager. And, the grounds are well maintained. Victoria residents and visitors continue to “get together” daily, and for cookouts, holidays, birthdays, and any other reasons we can think of. The Toronto Blue Jay’s Baseball Team and The City of Dunedin have reached a new long-term agreement for minor league and spring training activities. There is a lot of growth, development and activity in the city. Add to this the restaurants, shopping, parks and festivals and #One on the Waterfront is a place you don’t want to leave and can’t wait to return to.
This our fourth stay in #One and it will not be our last, we are already booked for next year. In finding a word to describe #One, only one comes readily to mind, "Wow". On entering the apartment one is presented with beautiful views through the picture windows of St Joseph Sound. Each time we arrive we find there have been improvements to furnishings etc. Lesley and Alan take great pride in presenting #One as the best in this part of Florida. Nothing is too much trouble for them and any problems will be quickly sorted out by them and their manager, Lee. Other reviewers have commented on the local amenities, friendliness of the other residents and, above all, the beautiful courtyard which takes one back to another age. Lesley and Alan have also purchased an annual entrance pass for all Florida State Parks, apart from a few Parks being within one hours drive, it is particularly useful for Honeymoon Island which is less than 15 minutes away, we spend many hours there, walking the beaches, gathering shells or just sitting watching the world go by. In the evenings it is nice to sit outside with a glass of wine chatting to friends and other residents, our little part of Paradise.
This was our third visit to #One and it continues to deliver great memories. This is a water facing condo with direct views of St. Joseph's Sound and the surrounding islands: Caladesi Island, Honeymoon Island and Clearwater Beach. The condo is always very well maintained by the owners and local manager. The unit contains new and updated appliances and furnishings. We continue to enjoy the friendly neighbors and beautiful courtyard of this comfortably sized complex. Many residents and visitors gather in the evenings to watch the sunset and socialize. #One is in the Victoria Condo's and is located one block from the Pinellas Trail (dedicated biking/walking trail) and approximately one (1) mile from downtown Dunedin. There are lots of great parks and activities in Dunedin and the local communities, some within walking/biking distance. Dunedin Golf Course and The Beaches on Dunedin Causeway are an easy bike ride or short drive from the condo; 1.8 miles and 4.2 miles respectively. You will find excellent restaurants and shopping in Dunedin and the surrounding areas. We feel #One provides access and exposure to just about everything you might want to experience.
