Great Place to Stay
Date of Stay: December 25th , 2017

We had a great time at this place over our Christmas vacation. The house was laid out very well to provide separation of rooms if there were lots of different activities going on. Or everyone could congregate in the kitchen/main living area. The backyard was fabulous although we unfortunately didn't use it as much as we would have liked. The house is located approx 1 mile from the new Chicago Cubs Spring Training facility which we visited while we were there. Perfect location to get to the games easily! The only reason we didn't rate this 5 stars were there were a couple issues we had when we first got to the house. But Noelle (owner) was GREAT in working to get them resolved quickly to everyone's satisfaction. I can't say enough about her efforts to resolve the issues quickly over the Christmas break. Fantastic job! Great place to stay that we'd highly recommend and would look to rent this place again if we come back to this area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind words, Dave! Your group was great to work with. We agree it was less than ideal that the coldest night of the year caused a freeze over in the master control panel for the heating system - things like that just cannot be anticipated ahead of time even though the HVAC system receives annual tune ups and is a newer system. We hope that the credit of a full night which was granted was to your satisfaction and are sorry to see that something like this affected the review rating. Also, since the 2nd issue turned out to not be a problem after all, I'm regretful that it affected the ratings. We hope that our concession was sufficient and always strive for above and beyond service to all of our guests, even when unplanned events occur. We hope to have you as return guests someday!
