About Richard
I am Richard, the owner/manager of Lancaster House. I have been in advertising for many years. I renovated the 200+ year old house and have operated it as a short term rental for over ten years. My wife, Judy, is a violinist and music teacher. Our photo was taken in Nice, France, where we visit often, since our daughter and granddaughter live there.
Why This Property?
I have always been interested in historic neighborhoods and buildings. Fells Point is Baltimore's oldest neighborhood, with numerous historic commercial and residential properties. When I purchased the house in 1978, the waterfront area was just beginning to become popular with "urban homesteaders". I completely gutted and rebuilt the property. The house has been whimsically decorated, with many vintage beer, wine and liquor posters and artifacts, plus a unique wine cork wall. This is in keeping with the vibe of Fells Point, where there are over 100 bars and restaurants in easy walking distance.
