Comfortable, sunny, wood-panelled 4 bedroom open concept home, furnished with art deco rattan furniture, and plenty of books and art, all of it kid friendly. A path to the uncrowded beach is across the street. The house backs up on a large wooded dune and has a side yard. Great for kids!

The main level contains the living room, dining area, bar, and kitchen. There are also four bedrooms and one full bath on the main level. The master bedroom contains a queen sized bed and there are singles in each of the other bedrooms. A bright porch/morning room with an additional dining table and wicker furniture is off the kitchen. The street level contains a full bath, two single beds, a couch, TV, and washer/dryer.
The house has central heating and air conditioning, and a wood burning fireplace in the living room.

Why This Property?
My wife and I purchased this house almost 40 years ago and it has been a wonderful getaway for four generations of our famiy. Hopefully, our future grandchildren will enjoy the house as much as we have.

My wife and I purchased this house almost 40 years ago and it has been a wonderful getaway for four generations of our famiy. Hopefully, our future grandchildren will enjoy the house as much as we have.
The house was built in 1912 by the parents of a child suffering from lung problems. They were told by their doctor to get the kid out of the City so she could spend time running around on the hot sand, swimming in Lake Michigan, and breathing fresh air. We actually met one of the siblings about twenty years ago and he left us photos showing what the place looked like when it was first built - miles of sand, dune grass, and no neighbors. Of course, the house has been renovated many times but it has always retained the sunny, open, rustic character of the original.
We are sure that you will enjoy the house as much as we have!
