In close proximity (300yards), is the Place de la République, the second largest square in Paris. Due to its size and geographic disposition, it is served by five metro lines and a large number of public transportation buses going in all directions of Paris. The Marais, an old historical area of Paris is on the south and east side of Place de la République. To the west of the square is the area called "Grands Boulevards". About the owner: My life has been unusual. I have been very lucky to have been born in France from Russian and German parents, raised on the East coast of the U.S., served in the U.S. Army for seven years, graduated from the University of N.Y at Albany, being a certified N.Y state teacher, having taught in the N.Y. public school system and having spent the major part of my teaching career as a school administrator in a U.S. private school in Paris which offered a U.S. education.
Why the Owner started to rent.
After my retirement, wanting to continue to have a small professional activity allowing me to meet people, I decided to purchase, renovate and rent this studio to visitors to Paris.
Why This Property?
I chose this particular studio in this particular area because the 19th century canal and Place de la République are still very Parisian, away from the tumultuous crowded tourist trade places, and yet, close enough to the center of the city to allow a visitor to discover the city on foot.
