The details:
House is right on the beach in Palmetto Dunes, a gated community in the middle of the island.The residential area of Palmetto Dunes is a peaceful area with many trees, as well as a beautiful, uncrowded beach. Heatable pool (14' x 28') is on the ocean side. Private beach walk and deck on the dune from which you can see the pool and beach at the same time. Beach is wide with lots of soft, white sand. Direct view of ocean from all major living areas and bedrooms. House is equipped with wireless Internet, includes beach towels for your use, as well as games, videos and sand toys for the kids. We have keyless entry; go right to the home after picking up pass at security. We have been renting directly, as well as through our rental company for 21 years now, and are constantly making improvements to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Island is famous for golf and tennis. Great family vacation spot, with easy bike ride to the general store and tennis courts.

This is a beautiful home and property for a family vacation. We just returned from our second visit to 10 Ketch. As with our first visit we were amazed how perfect this place is for a family to gather. The owner has done a wonderful job equipping the house with everything you need, right down to the beach towels! She is anxious to hear if there is anything she might add to make the visit better. (We never could think of anything!) The home, pool and property are clean and well maintained. While it is very easy to feel very much at home inside, the real show is the outside area. There is a lovely upper deck with comfortable seating and an electric awning that provides shade when you need a break from the sun. The pool area is surrounded by lush foliage, providing privacy and a beautiful atmosphere. There are plenty of lounge chairs and sitting areas around the pool area. The hot tub is a great treat in the evening. When you are ready to spend some time on the beach, there is a convenient walkway to take you there. While we spent nearly all of our time at 10 Ketch during our Hilton Head vacation, a few thrill seeking family members went off to go parasailing one day, and we all visited The Salty Dog for supper one evening. An adventurous one rented a surf board from a company on the island. Lots of entertainment and no serious injuries! Luann, the owner, is always available to answer any questions you might have. She also makes recommendations for various ways to enhance your visit, and is quick to resolve any issues that might occur, insuring your visit to 10 Ketch is a memorable one. This is one great vacation spot for family and friends. We hope to return again with our whole family in the future.
Our family of 11 (6 adults, 5 children) spent a week at 10 Ketch (2nd year for us) and had a great time. The proximity of the house and the pool to the beach is fabulous. Owner is very responsive and checks in consistently to make sure all needs are met.
We have stayed at 10 Ketch multiple times. It is amazing. We have fallen in love with it. It has a beautiful ocean view and easy access to the beach. The pool is right outside the back door. All 5 bedrooms are large, have flat screenTVs and full baths. The loft has a pull out sofa. It sleeps twelve comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked. We always have a private chef one night. The chefs are amazed at how well the kitchen is equipped. It has a dinette for breakfast and lunch and a large dining room for dinner. The living room is nicely decorated which includes a flat screen TV and a wet bar with an automatic ice maker. The house has a keyless entry code which is nice for our multi family. The laundry room has a washer/dryer. It is also stocked with beach towels for everyone. Luanne is very accommodating and easy to work with. 5 stars

We have stayed at this property for 4 years. We have always had a wonderful week at the beach. The owner does everything to make our stay enjoyable and ensure that there are no problems. We plan to return next year!!!
