The Carmo Chiado Apartments are located in the middle of the historical centre of Lisbon but away from car traffic and night life areas.
Although keeping its beautiful original façade, the interior of the building has been recently rebuilt, providing all the comfort of a modern apartment but the unique charm of a prestigious building in the noblest part of Lisbon.
The apartments are located in a building serviced by two elevators.
They have the same surface at diferent floors and are both very spacious and bright with great views.
The apartments are very quiet despite such central location, because Rua do Carmo is a pedestrian street and the apartments are equipped with double pane windows. Bedrooms give to an interior patio.
Most of Lisbon beautiful attractions and sites can be easily reached on foot, metro is across the street, tram 28 stops at 50 mt and there is a taxi stand at the door. Train station to Sintra is at 200 mt.
There are many good restaurants and shops at walking distance; you will be sent personal suggestions of my favourite before traveling to Lisbon.

We bought this apartment after it was reconstructed in 1997 and lived there for several years. The main reason we started renting it for holidays back in 2005 was to keep it in our property, as we are much found of it. It has become a pleasure to receive and help so many happy travelers and share their unanimous great satisfaction with the apartment.
